@rsjokes You must have never been to Europe... Yes, they play electronic music there... however, I heard more Macarena and stuff from the 90's than good EDM.
So what is my point? Maybe they don't play quality EDM in your city, but America DOES have plenty of good EDM... you just have to know where to find it!
