It is so good! I just opened my elderberry mead the other day and it was smooth and delicious.

Just found your channel. Great information, thank you. Music overlay is a huge detriment for me.

I appreciate your feedback. I’ve been working on that, and volume of my voice as well. I’m getting better and I will continue to improve. Thanks for watching and I hope you stay around.

I just re-edited the original video, with increased volume and no music. I would love it if you viewed a few minutes to see if it is better. Again--thanks for the feedback! th-cam.com/video/AXJaGPQr5JQ/w-d-xo.html

PH levels for acid balance, and tannin for mouth feel can go a long way towards making excellent Meades. There are non fermentable sugars to adjust sweetness before bottling. There should be no need to bottle a year before drinking. Aged Meade really can mellow, and improve over time, but I have enjoyed really nice Meade after five or six weeks.

Yes! They are native to most of eastern North America and are the best tasting raspberry as far as I’m concerned! 😋

Must u store it in the fridge after bottling so that it can last for more than a year?

I made some and the fruit flavor was gone. I was told to put fruit in the secondary after fermentation.

Do you make this mead commercially or for personal use?

Mixed with vodka for preservation and it smells like plastic. It's really the strangest thing and I can't find any info about it. Don't know what to do. Stored in glass for 1.5 years. Taste meh but not terrible. Smell tho....strange plastic smell. ??

I made a black raspberry extract with vodka in a glass jar. It is delicious.

They were frozen, which replaced heating them up (to break down cells), then mashed.

@@franceso32 yes. I’ve also used smashed whole berries too, but this method works great and eliminates any waste.
