It's 5:30 for me and I have to go to work🥲but anyways- while Fitz is slightly mean to everyone, it's way worse to Sophie, especially when he thought Aldens mind was broken. And he ended up being straight up toxic in Flashback. (Spoiler if youd like to read it to understand a bit more- Sophie still didn't know who her parents were in flashback. And ended up finding out that she couldn't get her matchlists if she didn't know who she was related to. And so Fitz basically said he couldn't be with her if she couldn't match with him he couldn't be with her, proving he doesn't actually love her and he cares more about his reputation then he does her.)

He was worried about HIM carrying on the Vacker legacy, meaning he cares more about the way people view him than he does Sophie. He also tried to pressure Sophie into finding out who her parents were and gaslit her into being like "I have the right to know!" even though she cared more about Grady and Edaline knowing that she loved them as her parents, and didn't care all that much about knowing who her real ones were.
