You don't appreciate this lovely seaside town til you have gone. Spent my early marriage years here (RAF Patrington 1962 - 66) We had a flat on S Promenade. My daughter spent here first days at Maternity Hospital. Love it.
A lovely place to live, fresh air, no crime, lots of entertainment, friendly people, great health service, friendly shops with lots of bargains and a thriving market. A forward looking council with lots of go ahead schemes, One of East Yorkshires little gems.
There is a reason there is no crime reported strollby...I used to be a door supervisor at Pier and Butterfly and when it kicked off one night the police said: "Gary, knock em out and throw them to us, we'll take them home...to late now to take them too Hull to be processed!!" Hence, there is no crime as the criminals are babysat, given a lolly and taken home as the police cannot be bothered to process them!!!
I have a property in Hornsea and everyone there slates this small town: a pleasant bus ride from Hornsea: it has a great fish shop The Golden Haddock, Aldi as well as several caravan parks in the vicinity. It is no worse than the place I live in down south Basingstoke.
We are looking to buy a house in Halsham and your video and comments helpful. What is the weather like that end of the country. Currently in the South West
Doesn't look much different to when I was last there in the late nineties, gran parents used to live in one of the old railway stations and used to shop at Proudfoot's every Saturday and pop into the arcades. Bit of a dump but but no worse than Hull.
Aww lovely video. I've just vlogged a day trip here with my little girl, it's on my channel if you'd like to check it out. I'm a new fan of withernsea 😊

@elmgarth Thank you for you lovely comment, I am glad you liked the film. I will take a drive past the beach the next sunny day and post it.
It’s not the nicest place but it’s a place
From North End to Tescos - well that says it all about this godforsaken place - the town that time forgot!

Often windy lol. Looking at weather on BBC it seems we often got off lightly in the recent spates of bad weather, wasn't much snow this year.
