A little tip. I didn't have a heat gun to heat up the glue, and was worried in any case about singeing the paint. What I decided to try instead is to submerge the mirror in boiling water holding onto the stem. It's a softer indirect heat and it evenly heats the mirror and glue throughout, and not from a point source that gets blocked by the mirror. I probably held it down for about 2min till it was nice and hot and then carefully removed the mirror with no problem. Maybe this will help someone.
These mirrors are a big disappointment I am a stock man but you can't buy stock without buying crap the will fail in a few years, Why Harley would even put them on any Bike they are designed to fail, heating them up and trying to pry them out of the frame will just brake them, All you can do is get them exactly where you want them gently lay them down in a table and fill the ball aria with super glue let it set over night or spray it with accelerator they will be fixed in one poison until you decide to get some more, for Harley to take the adjustment screw off is a slap in the face to millions of loyal customers. Shame on you corporate, this is not astatic this is a safety issue Harley and Davidson are rolling over in their grave.

I set my mirror on top my electric stove for about five minutes and number seven but when I got the mirror off there’s pop rivets in there not screws

Ya how to remove the mirror it self
Heat it up until the mirror breaks, then remove the pieces, apparently... :)
