    Continuing to hunt for comb-able locks! There aren’t as many modern locks out there that are still susceptible as I’d like as a lock picker… but it’s a GOOD thing for consumers 👍🔐

      i got one if you dont have it, the master lock 9130d, i got this piece of garbage and i tell you it is 100% guaranteed that thing is comb-able, whats intresting is that it has a kwikset keyway instead of a regular master lock keyway, intresting yet odd.

      Love to see a comb open. I bought some combs and haven’t found any locks to open with them (though everyone said the master 140 series will comb). I know that’s best for us as consumers, but I really want to comb a lock 😂😂

      Try Guard padlock, and Brady. I can comb pick some of them.

      Those transparent practise locks are easy to comb - it might make a good video to explain the principle.
      I can't open my 55/40 (except with the key, which doesn't look like yours). No TOK wrench that will stay where I put it, and I can't even get a comb in the keyway.

    Single Pin picking is a great hobby but bypasses, whether via comb or rake, can give new pickers a wonderful sense of acheivement and show them that anyone can pick locks with a little patience and the right tools.

      Yeh, sometime I humiliate my American Locks by bypassing them 😂

    Thanks again for a great channel.
    I find that I have the most success when I insert the comb pick so that the tines are between the pins and then move in under the pins. It makes the alignment simple. I hope my description is clear.

    Great video 🙂 Abus can't make decision about security level. Was 6, 5 and now appears 4 😂 dying in basement 😂😂😂

    18:23. I guess I might be running before I could walk. However I am struggling with the abus 65/40. I am sure it has a spool pin and I think it is pin 4 I am struggling with. Any suggestions please

      I struggle with it too.

      shit I cant even get the 1st pin. it seems no amount of picking or changing pressure on the tension seems to make a difference.

    I have covert instruments ergo combs. I can't comb pick my abus 55/40. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?

    • @Thesnakerox
      @Thesnakerox ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe one of the key pins is too long? Some Master 141s cannot be combed because they have a long key pin.

      Same here. It's not you. The CI combs list explicitly which Master or Abus locks they work on and the 55/40 isn't listed for the 4 pin comb pick. It's either that the Southord comb picks are a bit different, or LN had a fluke here.

    Hi Lock Noob, don't know why Abus of all Manufactures go to the trouble of fitting spools in these padlocks with "straight" keyways, but not fit longer driver pins to prevent combing. Even one or two longer drivers would stop this method, but I guess that would mean more brass ...

    Really surprised you got the comb pick too work. I wonder if it's possible to keep some structural integrity and slightly slim down the metal on the comb picks 🤔💭

    You might find that some of those older locks can be bypassed with the knife attack too.

    What padlock do you recommend for outdoor use? And what euro cylinder for outdoor door? Nice videos, keep it up!

    • @MarvMarvelous1
      @MarvMarvelous1 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      For Padlocks you can take a look at the Abus Padlocks that are fitted with a Bowley Rotasera Lock. As for outdoor doors, you can try KESO 8000Ω2, or ASSA-TWIN 2 Cylinders, they are both awesome and should provide enough protection unless the lockpickingLawyer or Locknoob is trying to get in ;)

      LPL called the ABUS Granit 37ST/55 "a solid lock for many outdoor applications."

    Nice old lock`s. shows "you get what you pay for" and a 4-rated padlock from 20-30 years ago, isn't all that safe for high sec applications. Love your vid`s, keep em comb-ing 😜🍺

    I used to think ABUS were high security locks since all you can buy around here are Master and no-name locks. Guess I was wrong. lol

    • @TheOfficialDorianelevator
      @TheOfficialDorianelevator ปีที่แล้ว +2

      some of them ARE. the abus granit locks are high security, some are easy, some are hard, and some are absolute garbage, so yes.

    You open a Abus 55/40 by using another Abus 55/40
