Heads up, the room overview (F11 i think) also shows the combined number of critters and eggs without use of resources... not as useful for automation stuff but if just needed for info at a quick glance it could be helpful. Thanks for videos! The tutorial bites are delicious :)
Thanks for the tip! I am aware, but the reason I use critter sensors is to count the live critters only (the room overlay count includes both cirtters and eggs), although I may not have explained that explicitly.
There are 2 things really, firstly this was before the fast friends patch so plug slugs were only really useful if fed metal ore which was not a great idea. Secondly because they were added later on I always tend to forget about them! But in their current state, having unfed plug slugs, or feeding them refined metals from a metal volcano is definitely a viable way of making power now.
If you use water from a cool water source, it will come out of the electrolyzers fairly cool. Over time, both the SPOM itself and the water supplies tend to heat up, which is why you end up with a supply around the 80 degrees mark. At that point you'll need cooling, but you usually have time before needing to do this.

Food poisoning would be mush bars from your water source that has germs
Facebook messenger sounds REALLY throwing me.
I'm not sure how to feel about needing power while ignoring plug slugs in the immediate vicinity.
the rest has been fantastic.

How is your oxygen coming out so cool?
