Balvinder Sopal is a fantastic actresses and I'm delighted that Chris Clenshaw (the new exec producer) is putting a hell lof of effort into the Panesars and Suki in particular.
Yes, Ben played a part in Jags's death, but his death is more on Suki's hands than Ben does. She sent Jags to prison knowing he was innocent because she didn't like his girlfriend. She left him to rot in there, when she could have come forward at any time, knowing he was innocent. Yes, Ben in a moment of stupid pettiness pulled the protection because Kheerat was dating Sharon. But someone wanted Jags dead inside, even if Ben hadn't taken away the protection, it's not a hundred percent deal that Jags would live. An accident can happen and Jags could still have been killed. He wouldn't be dead now if Suki hadn't sent him inside. She needs to face the fact that she in many ways caused her son's death.

Ben has the power, he can wield it like a magic wand and keep Jags safe under his control as long as he gets paid. That sounds good, right? That means that Ben is just trying to help out his friend at his time of need, right? Right? Well, no... Ben later chose to call off protection. He pretty much gave Jags a form of shield from danger, and then took it away from him afterwards. The prison inmates who were having beef with Jags were probably more motivated to finish him off when they found out that his protection has been called off, and were thinking "It looks like you don't have anyone to protect you anymore!". Ben gave a false sense of security and then took it back, and he knew the risks in doing so. He may not have known Jags would end up dead in prison, but he definitely knew that Jags would've at least been put through hell. Now if it were for reasons that were out of Ben's control like money or miscommunication, then I wouldn't blame Ben and even side with him completely. But as we all know last year, Ben was clearly motivated to call off protection over something as petty as Kheerat going on a date with Sharon. "But Sharon cheated on Phil, so of course Ben was going to be upset." Well... yes, but that still doesn't change the fact that Ben pretty much played with someone's trust and broke it over his own grudge (which had nothing to do with Jags BTW). But whether you agree or not, I hope this helps illustrate why I think Ben still has a lot of blood on his hands as well (obviously not more than Suki, but on par at least).

I've been seeing a lot of people here fighting over who's more at fault between Suki and Ben. In my opinion, I think they're both equally at fault.
