      @@iamN0tTheGoat If I remember correctly, it was the first tornado to touch down in Iowa in the month of January in over 50 years.

      @@iamN0tTheGoat Now some storm chasers will be in Ohio tomorrow because of circumstances and probabilities that very closely match what was seen in Iowa on Monday.
      I wonder if anything will come of that.

    Excellent video. That was an impressive storm. Love the footage of the tornado genesis - several vortices competing with each other and then combining into a wedge very quickly. this was quite a surprise! Great job.

    I don’t think I’ve ever seen a system that wanted to put down a tornado as much as this one that’s crazy

    I would like to thank you for such a good tornado video. It's so nice to see one of these videos where the people in the car aren't screaming at each other and being idiots. I can actually hear the storm and appreciate the power of nature rather than the power of an idiot's voice.

    Awesome video! I saw you say this footage was actual speed. Do you have any idea how fast it was moving along the ground? Once it touched the ground, it zoomed! Such a great angle to capture it

    Being from Southern California (wall to wall concrete for 50,000 square miles) it never ceases to shock me the amount of vast open land there is in the USA. And the fact that thunderstorms exist 😀.

      Rated EF-1, on the ground for ~7 min. Minimal damage only tipped a semi. No injuries!

    Is anyone else concerned that tornadoes this year & last year have gone well out of normal season?!! I'm keeping record of any tornados spotted in a little notebook & have noticed this. Anyways, NICE footage. U were in the perfect spot to catch this on camera! Hello from San Antonio Texas ❤ 🌪️

      Not American, but I keep a track of the American tornado season. Yes, it does bother me that this is happening in January. Kind of like having big out of season northwest systems hitting my country, New Zealand with 400mm (16") of rain in our winter in the Canterbury high country - happened in July 2021. Then last year a massive system slammed Nelson with (500mm/20") over three days also in winter. Normally too cold for this kind of weather in July.

      @@travisnickeystorms It happened really quick. It touched down a little after 2:30pm CST. It was on the ground for about 8 minutes. It dissipated shortly after crossing over I-80 just outside of Williamsburg.

    When does a tornado become a tornado? Is it when the funnel actually touches the ground.? M.

      Does not need to be condensed (have a full funnel) to be a tornado, as long as the vortex is on the ground then it is officially a tornado

      It was rated EF-1, on the ground for about seven minutes

      You have no obligation to like the video. However, no one was hurt and this tornado stayed mostly over open land.
      Also, please understand that this tornado would have occurred whether I was there to film it or not. My being there did not have any affect.

    On the "Tornado Entity" documentary, the narrator said that tornadoes have struck on every day on the calendar year except January 16th. Fast forward to 2023.😅

    If I ever see a tornado...I will be way too close to it for my comfort level.
