Interesting video - thank you for posting. If you will be doing this often you may want to get yourself a small set of automotive trim removal tools (they are not expensive at all). They are good for separating the sewing machine covers and are made of plastic so they will not cause any damage to the edges like a metal screwdriver will. The different shapes help make the job easier too.

a spudger kit from the store will work as well. They are used to separate electronic parts. Nice video, thanks!
