Impressive video, thanks. I've used notion daily for a couple of yrs. It's been a life-changer as a second brain (august bradley's ppv). It's got pros and certainly its cons. I 100% agree that it's more for ppl who want an open-world / lower barrier to entry / works well for individuals / low cost platform and that's fine. But their lack of development up until recently has been more than frustrating to put it mildly for users looking to add more to their workspaces than cute meal plans. I think when serious users look at notion & coda side by side, it's not really a close comparison. Again, for the majority of ppl, notion is easier initially andis enticing bc of all the hype the last few yrs but the more I learn about coda, the more beneficial it is overall. IMO. As a daily user, if I had a time machine I would've started with coda (like I am now) and supplemented that with Obsidian (like I will be very soon).
Thank you so much for this comment! I really love when people engage with my videos and take these kind of stances o things. Totally agree with you though that Coda is more functional. Part of me wonders whether I'd keep using it over something like Coda if I wasn't a "Notion Influencer"
Great! May I ask for advice in this case? I’m also an obsidian user but I found task or project management and mobile feature quite lacking in obsidian, I would like to find something for projects (basic information all in one), tasks and also something that I can check or be notified easily via mobile phone(like a scheduled task upcoming view like things 3). I’m looking into notion, coda, and taskade, I believe one of them could ease my problem, and supplement with obsidian. Which one would you think is better in this case? And May I ask why would choose coda? I’m not sure do I need the database function on coda and notion and I would be grateful to see your advices on why you chose this combination!
Hi there , thank you for the video! Would you recommend some alternative to Notion that is faster than notion and have the option to make tables with formulas? THANKS
@@DemetriPanici I would love to see some more videos on this, maybe you could make a video where you recreate your Notion-setup or something? Would love to see that and how it works in Coda.
bro why, I hear about google keeps I learn google keeps then I discover notion, I hear about notion I learn notion then I discover emacs org mode, I try out emacs org mode and discover coda. when will I settle on one productivity app idk 💀
Notion's put in a boatload of marketing $ plus their fanbase / influencers supplement the rest of the marketing for them (youtube, twitter, etc). Other than Maria (coda's "evangelist"), there's very little in the way of marketing from what I've seen.
What are your thoughts on Coda?

I think it seems like an interesting alternative to Notion, I'm going to try it for a while and maybe switch.

1. Schedule time to waste time.
2. Send emails to your future self for important work.
3. Use pomodoro technique
Love it!
