you mentioned that the tracking on the autofocus needs work. would it be comparable to an older canon dslrike an 80d or something? or is it basically unusable for talking head to camera pieces? that's all my videos are really, so I was hoping the face only setting would be totally reliable... if its not, I need to reconsider really.
It’s weird, the face tracking is amazing. But if you’re under exposed or in low light, it struggles. You wouldnt think it would be affected by your internal exposer. Also when the ND6 or above is on, is struggle sometimes. The tracking is kind of annoying cause you have to press a button (that you assign for tracking) and then tap what you want to be tracked. It’s decent, but it’s not as solid as the R5 or Sonys. I feel like a firmware could fix most of these issues. Obviously putting 10 stops of ND will affect any cameras ability to autofocus. Overall it just seems a tiny bit clunky compared to the R5, but with that said it’s still highly useable, just a little finicky.
I’m waiting for my c70 to arrive. This will be my b-cam next to my ursa mini pro. Can you shoot some skintones with the c70? Lots of prople want to see skintones
@@Joechungphotography I did not preorder. I purchased the full price 1 week ago. I don't think there are shops in Belgium who have de c70 yet. I hope i will get my c70 before the end of the year.
Thank you for this comparison don’t think R5 regular c log OS garbage yes it is off you compare to c70 but if this is only one camera you have and using for video you can still get awesome results I’m very happy with mine R5 footage would I be more happy with c70 probably yes 😂 but for now R5 is only camera I can have for both photo and video 😉

Holy Hell man - you must spend all of your savings on changing cameras. Each time I log in you have new gear - literally. I used to follow you because of Fuji (X-T3 etc), then I think you changed to the bigger Fujis (one of the GFX). Then that wasn't rocking your cradle so you switched to Sony. I think you discovered that was a load of crock so then I think you switched to a Canon 5 mirrorless. Then the other day I watched something from you and I was floored you were then shooting film (a Bronica I believe). Now you have this new C70. I'll come back next year and you will have done a Steve Mccurry (Leica SL2). I've been shooting the same two Fuji X-H1's for a few years and they will do me for many to come. I rock all my cash into travel and seeing this wonderful world. I Hope I don't seem too critical cam - I loved your old videos but your new ones are all too gear-centric these days. Take it easy man! To be honest, I don’t really care man lol. These pst three years have been amazing for me. Not to brag, but my career has sky rocketed. With that said, I put grew fuji and needed a better work horse. Sonys are amazing but colors lacked. With canon, I just had the biggest gig of my career and the clients loved the shots straight from the back of the camera. I don’t really give a f about what brand I’m using. I care about what’s going to help me get my vision out. I get a lot of people being critical about all the gear I like to try, doesn’t make sense to me. Who gives a shit what I’m shooting with. I’m just sharing my process. Gear is part of the process. Sadly I can’t share most of my commercial work and my personal work has been out on hold because of deadlines. I’ve also been able to take close 20 trips during Covid, getting to travel for work during these times is a crazy blessing. But yeah man, sorry not sorry. PS, my saving is still growing lol. This has been my goal for the past decade of my life and I’m living it to the fullest. You would think people would be proud or happy for me instead of critical over the camera I’m using 😂

The career ladder isn’t as straightforward for us creatives as it is for other professions so I love learning from other people’s blueprints and I’m sure other people would too!
