Has anyone else noticed that Trump does a little squeak every time (in every video) that a Pint-Sized Summoner comes into play? It's friggin adorable.
Today I spent all my gold for an arena run. I picked the mage. Deck draft gave me: 0 large aoe spells, 0 polymorph and 0 pyro. What I did manage to scrounge up was 1 fireball, 1 cone of cold, and 1 arcane missile... Less surprisingly, the result was 0-3. I was totally dominated, except in one game where the opponent was quite bad. Despite his mistakes, his cards were so much better...
I realize it's beta, but I think they do need to address this at some time. My arena run was doomed before I even picked the first card. And if I want to do it again, my choices are: pay or grind for several hours. Not cool.
+wtfronsson I got a mage with only one spell. An arcane missile. The other spell offered was a ice lance but there was a novice engineer(the only card draw I was offered.) I still went 2-3 with a majority of below average minions (according to trumps list). Didn't even get offered a legendary. That was a deck truly destined to fail. It was a waste of a arena run. A cone of cold and fireball sounds pretty damn good to me.
"grind for several hours", you're playing the main point of the game, constructed, its not like you have to tap a button 1000 times...

it takes 30 games, without quests, to buy a single pack, and 50 games for an arena run, i can only play arena once every other day bc i'm a new player not willing to pay :/

What I essentially got was nothing for my investment (of a considerable amount of time towards the gold for arena) and a "oh you got bad options? well just buy another ticket then". I get that its really unlikely to get such a crap draft, but maybe they should just include the right for one complete re-draft in the price of each arena ticket. Or something. It's just not right to charge a fee for arena like this, if it can result in being a total waste, and there is nothing you can do about it. When you gamble and bet on something, at least you get to pick what you bet on, right?
In all my 3 games I was totally rushed down, and likely to have been saved by a single flamestrike. Or even spell power + arcane exp. Insult to injury: 2 of my opponents were mages, and they had all the aoe, poly etc you could hope for as a mage. Which of course meant that my creatures didn't really stand much of a chance. I was so pissed...
Bro, I went 9-3 last week as a mage with ZERO pyroblasts, fireballs, blizzards, or flamestrikes. All I had was 1 cone of cold, 1 frostbolt, and 1 polymorph for spells, and 27 minions. This is open beta, there are so many bad players out there for you to stomp on. If you went 0-3, then you were either EXTREMELY unlucky or you probably didn't play your cards right.
That malfurious pun in the beginning was so bad it made malfurion blow up lol
I had a rogue arena deck , it sucked it was really bad but the one good card(ragnaros) won me 3 games, or i had a really good draft and onyxia but i never drafted onyxia all games

Finally got to play this game. So weird to playing after watching Trump and #CrotaGaming for so long.
I was watching this when "Feel Good Inc." by The Gorillaz came on in the playlist I was running in the background when I realised that it seemed to be really fitting the on-screen action and even the sound effects seemed complimentary...lol

My first Arena run I went 9-3 (Ruby Key I think) but after that I just got owned left and right so now I have to grind. Kind of wish they added maybe one more daily or something to lessen the pain >

How did you get that UI on the left side showing you what cards are in your deck? That seems extremely useful in arena when you probably won't remember all the cards you can draw.

I try to guess the cards he picks as he is drafting (I don't really watch stream / didn't see this draft the times I did) and I picked 29/30 correct :) one of the pandas got me, I think I thought he'd pick leper gnome or something, but I feel trying to do this makes me better at arena because if I can predict what he'd pick it saves looking up every card as well as allows you to see how he picks for class cards... just thought i'd share, a fun sort of game/challenge to do when you watch these videos ^_^

can't you pick guroboshi (sry for spelling) and fire blast it next turn since mages don't genarlly have a lot of six drops apart from the boulderfist ogre.

in the last game it didnt really matter what he drew as long as he could play it with evis.
that paladin shouldnt have attacked the adventure co goblin having a 1/6 goblin on your side is a big dissadvantage.

im confused about something.
16:35 "acolyte is 3 for 1" - How in the world is it that? He summons razorfen, u kill one of them, u summon acolyte he wrath it. u both used 2 cards and he has a 1/1 on the board. i can see maybe 2 for 1 in the sense that u draw a card, but u both still lose a card?
yesterday i did an arena run, picked hunter for fun, now i am at 6-2 and faced 6 mage from 8 game and beat 5 of them, i only lost to 1 who got 3 flamestrike that was too much. i think mage is too hyped now.
For whatever reason, whenever Trump says 'value', I imagine it spelt 'Valoo'. Have absolutely no idea why.

***** What? The break-even point for gold is 7 wins. If you're only going 3-3 you'll probably have to wait a few days between arena runs. That's leaving aside the fact that it should be pretty obvious why someone on a Trump video would be sad about their best run only being 6-3.

nah for 6-3 you get like 50 gold, 40 dust and a card pack (i think) and keep in mind it was my best, on average i'd lean more towards 2-3 :)
24:33 why did this guy even attack the venture co. merc,? he only had 1 attack, he should have left it sitting on the board for more expensive cards.
Seeing how often this happens to Trump (is Merc being reduced to 1 attack) and how often he manages to still squeeze value out of it I think his opponent made the right call. If you have the means to remove something without any drawback to you, you should generally do it. Yes there are cards that might be "useless" for your opponent or actually damage him in some way, but in arena you never know what he could pull off, so it's better to not give him an option. I would personally also disagree with THIS particular play, but I can say why he would want to remove it
Trigfire Except there IS a drawback in removing that thing. The opponent's cards become 3 cheaper. Still think it was a stupid play, especially because he had board dominance.

It was a raid leader telling people what to do for the fight. Onyxia was a boss in WoW before it was a card in hearthstone.
