    Really great video. Actually talking about things with deer hunting that matter the most. Milkweed is good. I use cotton balls and take tiny strand fibers; extremely cheap and just as effective.

    Very helpful to me. I do have one concern that if milkweed is not native to your area, you may not want to spread all those seed pods and introduce it. Just a thought but thanks again for the video and explanation.

      @@double5bbq great point! There are actually USDA grants available for those adding butterfly sanctuaries with milkweed planted in the sanctuary along with other butterfly friendly flowers and plants, but I agree, still check for your specific area!

    So is there any way to hunt the “bath tub” if no matter where you sit your scent will swirl around the bottom? Found an amazing spot full of scrapes and massive rubs in a valley yesterday. Also the way youre explaining it seems like its impossible to kill a buck in a ridge system. How do you go undetected if he can smell everything above and below him? I always thought if your wind was blowing down hill and the thermals were rising the thermals would just take your wind straight up and out of the hillside

    • @reviveoutdoors4him
      @reviveoutdoors4him  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@cmore8273 great questions!
      When I hunt the bath tubs it’s with a rifle and with Native Scents Seduction during the rut in hopes I catch one coming through and I bust them before they bust me. It can be difficult to archery hunt them because of how close you have to get to them. If you can find a thermal hub that has some type of vacuum that sucks your scent out that would be ideal. I am not saying it’s impossible but very difficult.
      On ridge systems the goal is to catch them going and coming from their bedding and have your scent pushing away from your guess on where they will be traveling.
      If it were easy there would be a lot more bucks ground checked but that’s what makes the success taste that much sweeter!

    Dew is just moisture that is already in the air. Same as condensation when you step in from the cold. It’s a pressure/temp thing for state change, not because the moisture is traveling. You would get dew on a flat plain.

      @@Alan-uw6ik I do. I will be covering that in my scent control episode. Ozone machines have been used to remove smells (cigarette smoke or other odors) from homes and buildings for years. It’s scientifically proven for sure, but how it impacts us in the outdoors I will dissect in that episode. I am working diligent at it, but it’s taking some time because I want to make sure I get it right and don’t upset the $1B+ scent control industry too bad. I don’t want them to make me disappear 🤣

    Very helpful, but you also need to explain how the wind really works. The wind works like ocean currents when the wind blows, then it gets sucked back out the opposite way pull in your sent towards critters that you don’t want catching your wind.
