      The momo dough is made of Maida n Cold water. Cold water helps in keeping the gluten level high, so thats make the momos chewy .
      Giulia is not big fan of gluten i guess. Love from Northeast India

    When did momos become Desi? They are originally Tibetan and they came to Nepal with the Tibetan refugees. The simple Tibetan momos with crushed chilly chutney and a bowl of soup became exotic when the Nepalese started experimenting with the chutnies. The chutney may have added ground seasame seed or ground peanuts to give it that creamy texture and sweetness. The owner here is clearly Nepali.

    • @Novafox_3
      @Novafox_3 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nahh they're original from Nepal mo:mo is Nepali word Mome in newari language means steam cooked food and they are traditional newari food for how they got to other countries nepali princess married king of tibet and she's the reason

      You know what, when we cook food at home everyday in India, it's often very simple prepration and low to medium spice level(but we do always have some spices), it's only on festivals, parties or on eating out that we eat the food that people generally get in the restaurants, even we cannot eat that level of spice & complexly prepared food everyday.

      You have obviously not eaten momos if you compare your sweet called mohdak or Gujia in UP a momo. Momo is a salty spicy snack or a meal and is steamed as opposed to frying. So no likeness except in shape.

    The history of momo in Nepal dates back to as early as the fourteenth century. Momo was initially a Newari food in the Katmandu valley. It was later introduced to Tibet, China and as far away as Japan by a Nepalese princess who was married to a Tibetan king in the late fifteenth century...Mom isn't Desi plz have some knowledge before saying about it..🙏
