Bro every serious producer should have your vids on alert notifications! That list vid about the 8 mastering plugins on the master chain with “spike, mike” etc combinations sounded wacky until I ran it on a remix I was doing that day, and it blew my mind at how well it works! I know your vid aimed more at using it on bass/drum busses but here to talk y’all for electronic/dance music it works amazing on masterchains too 😊❤
@@Noone-of-your-Business No problem! I've always thought the name works better for a clipper, as you're literally decapitating the heads off audio peaks.
Do you use the 1176 on vocals, or do you have another favorite?
LA-2A
@a.d.h.s. Great choice! I think the LA-2A and 1176 are the goats.
Distressor + CL1b.
Love all your videos!!
Thank you! 🙏

I appreciate that, Tommy-thank you so much! Yeah, it definitely does look a little wacky until you try it! I’m glad you found a use for it though 😄
2:09 - _"uses the 1176 as his _*_only_*_ compressor"?_ Then what is the *Decapitator* doing in the same chain??
Decapitator is a saturation plug-in, not a compressor. Nigro uses it to add a touch of top-end presence to vocals.
@@BeatsbyVanity Thanks for clearing that up.
What a stupid name for a plugin that is _not_ a brickwall limiter...

@@BeatsbyVanity That was precisely how I understood it, hence my confusion.
@@Noone-of-your-Business That's also how you get distortion.
