This episode really shows the contrast between CJ and Rick. CJ is a perfect gentleman, sincere, sensitive and respectful, and making Becky feel great about herself. Rick acts like a gentleman for a little while but really just sees it as the first step towards the bedroom, and doesn't even realize that he's making Kimberly feel uncomfortable.
Great points! Even their language supports these differences. CJ tells Becky what a great girl she is and genuinely doesn’t like her being down on herself; Rick just talks about “how long he’s had to wait” for their night together . . .

But at this point there is not much substance to the character (although she is unintentionally hilarious when she is in soapy con fr o nt ation mode). She is beautiful but not a very good actress, and her scenes with Rick don't help matters. The character works a lot better when she is in a scene with Sally and/or Macy.

*Summary of episode 3255 - What we missed yesterday* Sally is out of the hospital, and since her doctor has ordered her to stay at home and rest, of course she is in the office working, while commenting on how nobody else at Spectra was working during her absence. CJ tells Sally and Clarke that he has a date with Becky, and while Clarke seems mainly pleased that a son of his has a date, Sally is concerned that Becky kept the baby secret from the Forresters, and goes to visit Becky. Amber returns home to Becky and tells her that she didn't get the singing job. She wants the two of them to stay home and binge watch Monty Python (@Nick, what was that you said about the ongoing python references?), and this is objectively not a bad idea, but Becky says she has a date with CJ, which is also objectively not a bad idea. Becky is super happy about it and Amber helps her get ready. Darla walks in on CJ changing in Clarke's office (which is funny knowing the two of them are a couple in real life). Darla teases CJ about his date but when she finds out it's Becky, she warns him that Sally won't like it. After Amber leaves, Sally (in mama bear mode) knocks on Becky's door and tells her that she will not allow Becky to get involved with CJ. CJ knocks on the door next, and Sally leaves through the -fire escape- other entrance. Because a one room apartment of course needs to have two entrances. Rick and Kimberly are kissing by the fireplace. Rick wants to make love and talks about how he has been dreaming about this, but Kimberly wants to wait until her wedding night, because that's what her mother did. They move into the bedroom and Rick tries to persuade her that she doesn't have to wait. He then starts kissing her on the bed, totally not hearing anything Kimberly is saying, and we never have to question Rick's paternity, or his maternity, ever.
