14:05 Was she trying to get away from the guy behind her maybe? Could have been trying to get DC to drive her to safety. Either that or an attempted carjacking. Turns out "meeting other people" is harder than it seems.
hmm, looks to me like the cammer didn't want to pull over instantly in front of a heavy vehicle. Which is good driving. Then when they judged they were at a safe distance some muppet tried to pull a swifty.
The driver behind was driving like an idiot, and realistically the cammer shouldn't return to their lane prior to there being a safe distance, which there was not yet. But my god, almost causing an accident at that speed to prove a point, especially given overtaking on the left is not against any rules.
?? That does NOT mean you move back into the left lane with a half-second gap from the bus you overtook. Also “proving a point”? The lane was empty and no one could reasonably be expected to anticipate the BMW driver’s attempt to fit through that almost-nonexistent gap. You can also hear his indicator turn on at the exact same time as the BMW.
There is, however, a requirement not to drive recklessly, which the BMW driver broke when they pulled in front of the bus with well under a 1-second gap. The DC driver did the responsible thing by moving back to the left lane with a safe distance between himself and the bus.
@@hazridge totally agree, you don't see whether earlier the guy had been hogging that lane which could've been a factor, doesn't justify the behaviour but still...

18:10 I know it's not popular on these videos to empathise with a cyclist, but just take a moment to consider how seriously White Ute here endangered that cyclist's life. The lane-merge cutoff was the least of their sins here.
8:36 I'm super confused here. Is virtually everyone including DC driver in the wrong lane for where they want to turn? Learner is waiting at red arrow if turning right, right? But looks like they got into the lane late. Black SUV in wrong lane, and trying to get across, blocking red Rav4 and DC driver, but they're turning left from a right hand turn lane?
Right hand lane (which is empty) is right turn only. The middle and left lanes are left turn only. There are two dipsticks in both left-turn lanes wanting to turn right.
13:45 when you take a second look DC driver actually drifts right I think causing the passing driver to instinctively swerve right. Correct me if I am not seeing this correctly
DC does start to move right. Just after that the car in front brakes. So the DC driver may have been reacting to what is ahead and shaping to change lane. The driving of the fast car was still epically shit.
That me. Had my indicator on for while and was clear, went to change lanes but did not leave my lane. Dude came out of nowhere and dramatically swerved into that Mercedes and then me. He had police convinced that it was my fault then I pulled out the dash cam and now he has to pay off a 50k+ Mercedes due to no insurance 😭
9:43 is going to be an ugly argument. You can see the light go green just after the accident. Which means it was red for the SUV 3 seconds before. And amber 3 seconds before that. So they definitely ran the light. The other car is entitled to clear the intersection, but must give way to everyone in doing so. I'm rooting for the taxi/camry (despite my instincts) because im sick of people running lights and stuffing up the person clearing the intersection.
02:01 I had a similar experience following a 300 Series through that same crossing, although it was very wet. Something is wrong there but it didn't effect me.

9:25 stay in left lane unless overtaking means get in the left lane after you have overtaken
"Don't steer into another car just to prove a point" really shouldn't need to be written in the rules. But it looks like it should
The driver did get in the left lane after overtaking so what's your point? Did you, like, stop watching after 2 seconds?
hmm, looks to me like the cammer didn't want to pull over instantly in front of a heavy vehicle.
9:27 does he know there is no requirement to pass on the RHS on multi lane roads
Clearly one of the "undertaking is unsafe" brigade
There is however a requirement to not be in the right lane without overtaking in a 90kph+ zone. He's exactly what he called the other driver
@@alexdonnelly99ify you must have missed the part of the clip where he _was overtaking the bus_
4:03 is crazy bro
12:40 not sure what the speed limit on that road is or what DC was doing but
1. Don't hog the right lane
2. Check your mirrors before changing lanes
1. Speed limit was 60 - anything 80km/h or lower (and there is no Keep Left Unless Overtaking sign), you can sit in the right hand lane all day

I think left lane is left turn only and right lane is left or right turn
Right hand lane (which is empty) is right turn only. The middle and left lanes are left turn only. There are two dipsticks in both left-turn lanes wanting to turn right.
