I love how in the musical they gave more dialogue to Elizabeth and the Monster (who I mentally nicknamed Greg) because it gives her and Greg more of a relationship and it makes her death more emotional, it almost redeems her in the sense that throughout the entire book she came off to me as whiny and I was relieved when Greg killed her.
@@lye_solution it is indeed more of a literary thing than actual name. Dude is literally just calling themselves the first ~~human~~ what ever they are. Though Adam is still generally used as the filler name for the "monster" even though, as seen here, them not having a name plays a big part in the larger themes of the story
Elizabeth is empathetic AF in this musical like she sees this freaky abomination man that murdered her brother and friend and rather than despising him on sight she’s like “Wow maybe he’s been through hell too” like GIRL IF ONLY HE’D MET YOU EARLIER

Nah, him being Victor creation/son doesn't make Elizabeth his "mother", she never even knew his existence till this moment
