I had one just like it . That 238 Detroit is a good engine. Your skidding videos remind me of running a cable skidder for my dad when I was a kid logging in the UP.
Thank you so much for your kind comments!! My brother and I also learned to skid logs from our dad when we were kids, on this very same land. Brings back a lot of memories when I’m out in the woods on my dozer or on my skidder. Stay tuned for more videos in the near future.
Nice video enjoy watching them just a thought on you brake pedal oil up the plunger the pedal pushing it moves up and down could have stuck trust me they stick oil it and prying make it move 1/2 or more thanks

Um wanted to add sitting so long lucky the rack wasn't stuck causing a runaway situation. Maybe u did check off clip . No pun intended. Also I thought the 6 71 was a v 6 . Being a 63 might have been before. Enjoyed the clip.
You are correct about the rack getting stuck on these old Detroit's and causing a runaway and this was definitely a concern here. I had that happen to my skidder a while back but I was able to get it shut down before it blew apart. This truck has a 6-71, which is a straight six.
