Divine rebel 1960 , health is wealth, I've practiced eating less since 26 years old , on and off , on and off , the rails , so when the famine appears , I can be like the Christ in my heart and fast for forty days and nights , day is easy , the sun feeds , night more difficult, the moon is false so no positive in the dark , when you don't eat , your body eats the electrons, protons and neutrons in the air , extremely godly and power of love with zero ego you become

I do like your callout of learning basic life skills - planting, food preservation, water resources, etc - but not retreating into the past but rather take the valuable from the past and take it forward into the future. I think a huge element to this is building community. Like, talk to your neighbors. Can you imagine how great life could be if everyone in a single apartment complex decided things are better when people choose to support each other?

LOL! You're right, Sharon. And I would comment that when I was in my teens we went on vacation in the woods for ten days. I had to wash my hair in the lake...and never before or since have I had such wonderful, soft, manageable hair as I did after that one washing!
