The number of times I have heard Pau sing this and I still tear up! Pau was challenged on her Instagram channel to cover a song. The fans picked 4 songs and then everyone voted. CREEP won. The deal was, Pau had to learn it, record it, and post it. This was the outcome, less than 4 hours later. There are only a few voices that can pull heartstrings that make you cry. Pau is one of those voices.
Fun fact: The piano is famous in Warning lore due to being always slightly out of tune. Many Warning songs were born on that piano. And… the song Breathe from the Error album was done on that piano.
I always thought it sounded a bit wonky. But not being very musical i thought it was just me. I actualy like how it sounds. Its got an old wild west vibe to it.
I love this rendition of Creep. Just a little side note - she was challenged by a fan to sing this song and learned it in 2 hours before recording it. Pretty darn good if you ask me.

Pau’s performance always chokes me up .. she put so much of herself into that that you can literally feel it coming through !!!.. that’s one of the reasons why I love them so much , they all perform with so much passion that you can’t help feel it , very few if any bands have brang me to the brink of tears just with their performance as The Warning consistently do .. I absolutely love this band !!!
Great reaction Ashlena! Pau is such a talented young lady and it really shows when she does ballads. If I am not mistaken Pau asked her viewers to pick a song for her to perform and was given something like 3 hours to learn it and play it. Creep was the song they choose. I am sure that others have much better details on this challenge so looking forward to seeing the comments on this. I probably got things wrong but this is basically what I know of this. Would love to see your reaction to The Warning concept album Queen of the Murder Scene or Even XX1 Century Blood. Both are really great Albums! They both show the progression of this band and it's fun to see them grow.
PAU---ERFUL IS SO TRUE. She seems sad in her version and brings tears to my eyes until the end. And then I smile at her excitement in getting it right in just 3 takes. Their ted-ex in Nevada is classic WARNING when they were climbing the Rock Star ladder. And it is when the quote YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Came from. In the words of PAULINA. Pau is so believable in everything that she does, she has such conviction. The first time I saw this I felt so bad to think that she related to these lyrics. Her triumphant yell at the end came as a relief.

Whats amazing is this was a snap chat challenge.
Pau had never heard this song before and the snap chat challenge was to learn , play and sing this song in 4 hrs or less. This vid was her 4th try and she frickin nailed it, thats why she so exited at the end of the song because she crushed the challenge well before the 4 hr limit.

Either way its still pretty amazing that Pau was able to complete that challenge in such a short amount of time. She definitely has one of the most unique and beautiful voice I've ever heard.

The rasp and lilt in Pau's voice never fails to bring forward emotions. Along those lines, I hope you can check out the song "23" from The Warning's latest album (the lyric video is on their YT channel). It's impossible not to experience the words along with Pau - the pain, desperation, isolation. She is an amazingly powerful drummer, but the softer ballads that she sings are something else.
I love that song "23". Wish she would sing it more, but I know it takes a lot out of her.
One of my top 3 from Error! So good. Second best "Pau" song after Black Holes.
Assuming it’s written from an intensely personal experience, “23” is one of the most touching and relatable songs The Warning has ever done. I may be in the minority here, but I think it could have huge crossover appeal as a rock ballad. (Then again, I’m not really sure how music is promoted these days anymore with streaming and satellite vs. radio airplay.)

*Fun Fact:* Just think. 60 days ago. You never heard three girls from Mexico. You discovered them watching a video. You seen them live in Toranto. During the show. You saw Ale sang lead that's very very rare. She sang lead not only on one song but two. At the same time you experience why Paulina is called Pow. She's a little firecracker. While big sister (Dany) is the heart & leader of this band. While the little sister (Ale) is the soul & grounded one. The middle sister (Pau) is the life's blood of The Warning.

Funny, I just said you should do this in your previous video. So now you’ve done it, I was recommending their cover of Foo Fighters The Pretender, Sinister Smiles Acoustic. In sinister smiles acoustic you can hear Ale sing falsetto.

First of all, nice for reacting to Pau in this non TW setting (BTW Dany has many non TW songs that she covers as well), really shows a different side. Please react to the live Lunario CDMX version of QOTMS. It's really special, in their clothes, makeup, special video screen behind Pau. I believe you have done Dust to Dust but I don't remember if it's from that show. They are younger in that show. The second song, Crimson Queen, is also a tear jerker with Dany on guitar and lead vocals, Pau playing only a shaker and Ale sitting on the drum riser playing a sparse yet dramatic bass line. It's one of my favorites from this collection and another favorite is the last song but I will wait to comment until you get to it. 🤘🏽
OH, with QOTMS, do the live. The Lunario show was the first time they performed the whole thing live, and they hadn't acclimated to the Mexico City elevation, so some fans say it's not their best, try the Foro Didi show instead. But, the TH-cam clips of the Lunario show were what made me a dedicated fan. So much emotion, incredible performances, and they were all teenagers at the time. Then, listen to the studio album - it's very good! Different dimensions, slightly different arrangements, but the live performances are definitive. Thanks, Ashlena! Loving your journey.

Regarding QOTMS - Although the audio (studio) version is great, you get the full emotional & audio gut-punch from the live performance - Lunario is the one for me, Dany just kills her performance as the Queen & Ale & Pau are right behind her with a tight rhythm section. You do what you feel is right for you though.

I recommend audio listen first of QOTMS, but most fans will argue for Lunario concert. You won't be disappointed with either choice. Btw, you have a pretty tone, even if your voice isn't 100%.

The lunario concert was the debut and first time performance of the whole album in order , Dany was in full character as the crimson queen , make up and all ! Pau was hype ! It’s a totally different animal . For reference remember when you did evolve audio then the live , yeah exactly like that .

There is no end to the talent that is Pau. Because of this being a special thing (fan Challange) and her shout of pride that she achieved the goal of learning the song and performing it in this manner. Wow just wow is all I can say since she had just a short time to learn the song and so it in I think this was her 3rd attempt without sheet music or anything, but memory.

Pau is so great. I love her emotion and passion in her singing. 23 and Breath are really emotional songs from the Error album. Dany also has a bunch of great solo performances like Walk by the Foo Fighters.

After I heard the Lunario concert, the studio version of QOTMS seemed so vanilla. So, if you are doing both, I'd do studio first. And of course, lyrics are required because of the epic nature of it being a concept album.
Dive into Queen of the Murder Scene. Suggest doing one song per video, but do the audio first with lyrics nearby, then do the live version from the Lunario CDMX concert everyone is telling you about. And I think you'll like the second song Crimson Queen, it's a mostly guitar/acoustic type song, one that you might find interesting to cover yourself.
Crimson Queen just gives me chills each time I hear Dany sing it, so much passion..UGH..

Next stage on your warning journey should be to check out some of their more emotional songs, like "23", "Black holes (dont hold on)", "The end (stars always seem to fade)" all sung by Pau, her voice on its own can break your heart not to mention the lyrics.

Hey Ashlena! I'm sure you read the other comments about her doing this in an afternoon as an IG challenge. But, your comment struck me about her being made for Broadway. I have said for years that she has that Broadway "Belter", sing to the back row kind of powerful pitch and tone! She is definitely a born entertainer! Can see her writing and staring in a Broadway musical ( as a side project to The Warning, of course)! In the future, I would not at all be surprised if all three write a musical and star in it on Broadway! A Rock Opera!

You should react to the cover of Atlas Rise but edited by The Warning Russia Army, which includes Metallica and The Warning, together in the video switching back and forth, the video it's made to perfection, that it looks like the 2 bands were collaborating together...they do not miss a beat when switching from one band to the other, and the sound it's like they are just one band with James and Dani sharing the vocals, it's really a treat...
She puts the Pau in Powerful. I'm willing to bet money this would be considered the best cover of this song out there.

Another instance of Pau singing "out of the box" is on a radio station appearance. As much as I admire all three and I'm a bass player, I'm on Team Pau. The most recent show in Toronto (my 3rd) reinforced that. I agree about Broadway - performing, writing, arranging. Are you sick or are you still recovering from being Warned?

a few years ago two sisters performed creep on the voice kids (germany) the girls‘ names are mimi and josi. their performance is incredible and definitely worth reacting to. the two girls also won the whole contest. i can so recommend that !!!!

I say the live show of the QOTMS album should be first personally. Danny really laid it all out in that performance. I was listening to the album on the way home in the car today and I have to say the live show sounds better in my opinion. Love this cover of creep by Pau. Hard to believe she learned to play it and sing it that well in just a few hours. Nice job yourself too! maybe you can be the fourth member of The Warning! ⚡

Great reaction Ash! Pau's Yes! at the end always makes me smile, she knows she nailed it. I got to meet them for the 2nd time in Indy on Thursday and I was in the 2nd row on Dany's side, it was an awesome show in a smaller venue, capacity of 500, but we were packed in and loud! I'm guessing the live performance of the QOTMS album that was recommended was Lunario and that is a phenomenal show but you can't go wrong with the studio version either.
