    Thank you for creating the video; it was incredibly helpful. I'm curious about where I can obtain a download link for the accompanying materials.

      No worries! I’m glad it’s useful and helping someone. There’s normally lots of information on each super funds website - aware super and Australian super have lots of good information that I normally read through. Are you planning on salary sacrificing?

      Haha exactly! Retirement accounts generally have some good incentives for putting money in them 🙂 Do you put extra money in retirement accounts?

    The fees on Australian an international equities is too low. They probably outsource the fund and then charge you 0.06 ontop of the fees already being paid.

    • @SageFinance
      @SageFinance  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it matches up with the monthly fee transaction that gets deducted. I was surprised how low it was too but I’ve noticed they increased the generic funds fee to probably compensate for these ones being lowered. What fees does yours have?

      @@SageFinance I've gone smsf and combined myself and my wifes super.
      I checked Awares Investment partners and it's SPDR for both Australian and International equities.
      If the fee is only 0.06% how much do you think SPDR charges Aware?

    Very nice and informative video.
    Just wanted to check if you have changed your investment type since this year all the shares are on red.
    How is it impacting your super?

    • @SageFinance

      Thanks for the nice feedback. I haven’t changed a thing - still salary sacrificing into the same shares allocation. The total balance has remained steady and climbed slightly higher than this time last year so this years “crash” hasn’t really been noticed.

    Great video. Yes, I salary sacrifice now. Began in my late 40s. Regarding the after-tax contributions cap. How do I find out how much I can pay into superannuation as I haven’t maxed out my pre-tax yearly caps? How would I organize this? I’ve asked my superannuation fund but they’re useless! Cheers.

    • @SageFinance

      Yeah the super fund people are hopeless. They didn’t even know what a “notice of intent to claim a tax deduction” form was when I called once 🙄 The information on how much of concessional and non- concessional caps have been used is in your ATO account - there’s a tab on the left you click which shows super, then click the carry forward concessional tab or the after tax contribution tab to see how much you can still put in under the caps. 👍

      @@SageFinance cheers. Thanks so much. I found it! About $15k I’m eligible. I can deposit up to an additional of $15k and get a tax refund? (If tax rate 32%, I get 32-15 = 17% tax credit back ($2,550) based on $15k deposited into my superannuation?

      @@josephj6521 Awesome! Yes that sounds right. I'm in the same tax bracket and maxed mine out and claimed a tax refund last year and will again this year. There's also the 2% medicare levy on top of our tax rate that we can save on too!
