    Most interesting review so far. I was riveted to the compartments and to the extras you added for your wallet and first aide supplies. The rotating buckle is something I haven’t seen before. I enjoy the custom touches you take the time to add. I don’t own anything as organized as that bag. Very interesting.

    Nicely done. I am reviewing sling bags for a trauma/first aid bag I am putting together. I've reviewed a lot of sling bag videos and yours might be in the top 2 or 3. This particular bag is a bit pricey for a med bag. But I appreciate that you took time to show all the organization capabilities of this bag. Many review vids don't. Also like that you pointed out a few little add-on's you made (such as the adjustable velcro holster by Vanquest) that you put into the conceal carry pouch. Even though this is probably not the bag for me, your video is informative and concise. Best wishes.

      Hey Bob.Thank you, I appreciate the feedback. Vertx and several other brands I like can be pricey but I'd also suggest looking for them used...I got the Vertx used. I do plan on reviewing a 511 sling as well as a Vanquest bag, I just try to space them out. Thanks for your comment, it helps me improve. I'd be interested in hearing what bag you end up going with. I hope you have a great week.

      This bag is not just a med bag.
      It’s for off-body EDC, plus it’s body armor plates’ carrier.
      I’ve two IIIA kevlar plates in mine.

    That pocket thats behind the molle panel is so you can hide that front flap if you like. So you can have the Molle panel exposed.

    That 1st compartment "hidden pocket" is for another ballistic plate. For more shielding when the bag is completely dropped open! 💪🏽👌🏽 Great Review!

    nice! i've got one of these too and it's a well planned out design. However the velcro could be better, it seems to "wear out" becomes less velcro-ee after some time.

    It seems you have a smaller compartment between the second release button and your naked clip. I believe you can open up the "seat belt" section of your strap. It looks that way.

    Nice work, very thorough with no wasted chatter. However, it looks like it won't work for left-handed draw. Correct?

    • @AmericanDrifter
      @AmericanDrifter  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Michael Mason. I don't think it would work for a left-handed draw. Thanks for the feedback!

  • @jamesr792

    I think carrying a gun in a bag is a last resort. Part of the reason I’ve been looking into sling packs is so I can have my bag out of the way of my draw (from 4:00 on my belt). Looks like a good bag, though. I’m rocking a $30 Fieldline wal mart special right now. Figured I’d give that a try and see what I liked and disliked before I dropped serious coin on a higher quality one.

    • @AmericanDrifter
      @AmericanDrifter  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @jamesr792. I think few could argue that drawing is faster from IWB. I keep coming back to this bag after testing others. I agree, more of a last resort as a carry method. It's an alternative so at least people can still carry. Let me know how that Fieldline works out. I think all too often people associate the cost of a product with it's functionality. More often than not I've found cheaper items to be just as good. Thank you for the feedback.

    What about for a ar pistol? 2:36 is there a bag that has something like this that the slit that leads to the trigger with the gun being inside the bag and not a a slit to a small compartment?

    How does it work with a flash light on the pistol, can you pull it out quick with that loop holding it in the bag, or will it snag?

    • @AmericanDrifter
      @AmericanDrifter  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Robert Underdunk Terwilliger. I have used it with my G19 with an olight before and had no issue drawing from the bag. The vanquest sticky holster is adjustable and universal. A lot depends on your CC and holster but I don't think you'd have a problem. Thanks for watching.

    How's this holding up? I'm debating between this and the Viktos Upscale 2

    • @AmericanDrifter
      @AmericanDrifter  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Eye of Sauron. I cycle through a lot of bags but I always come back to the Vertx for EDC. I've had it for years now and I take it with me every time I leave the house. I believe they have an updated version of it now. I've never heard of Viktos but the bag seems like it would be a good option too. I think the Vertx offers a faster draw and more storage but the Viktos has more organized compartments and looks more low-vis in my opinion. I hope that helps.

    Nice, but price and still a little to big they have the right idea though im not a pocket guy I just want a small bag for EDC, not a bug out bag , but it dose have the zippers in the right place on the side just my thoughts

    • @AmericanDrifter
      @AmericanDrifter  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Vince brandt. This is the smaller version (about 13 liters). They make another version that's larger and too big for EDC imo. I see where you're coming from. There are some less expensive options out there that I plan to try out. Personally, I think 10 liters would be the smallest I'd go. Thanks for your input.

      Great video BTW. Inwish I could recommend a bag. I keep buying them but usually go back to my Maxpediton WOLFSPUR™ CROSSBODY. My newest purchase is a simple Vanquest DENDRITE-LARGE. I am an old dude and do not want something too tactical. I do have a separate bag I throw in the car when going out.

    • @AmericanDrifter
      @AmericanDrifter  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll keep that in mind. I've had Maxpedition in the past, great quality stuff... Just a little too military looking for me for edc. They do have one bag called Entity that looks promising. I was looking at that bag from Vanquest, I like the look of it. Thank you for the support, I appreciate it.
