Jeremy Swayman Gets His Payday; Bruins Agree to 8 Years, $66-million Deal

On Sunday, the Boston Bruins signed goaltender Jeremy Swayman to an 8-year contract extension through the 2031-32 season with an annual NHL cap hit of $8.25 million.
The $66M deal comes less than a week after team president Cam Neely disclosed to the media a $64M deal was on the table, and Swayman's agent said they needed a few days to regroup after the breach in confidence and a note saying his client had received no such offer.

Hopefully, he'll be durable and continue his high level of play. And, in the event of injury, let's hope that Korpisalo can be a good back-up. But if the two goalies are a combined 11.75 Million per year, that might still be too rich.
Maybe a younger, cheaper back-up should be in the cards. Having Bussi as #2 would provide more cap space vs Korpisalo, so I don't understand that.

Now that I've watched the whole show Ian I feel even worse... again they did not solve their second line offense issue they should have told Marshy nope Geekie is playing the third line you have Tyler on the right
