      I pointed that out to my parents when I was a little kid and they thought I was some kind of genius.
      Easily impressed they were.
      We'll never see those lines again. Fuck digital.

    I always hated it when they showed these serious adverts.

      i think it was quite a good ploy by them. it really snapped people back in to reality.

      Indeed, those serious adverts didn't sit well, on what essentially was a whacky programme, backed by an easily amused audience. Made me cringe seeing Tarrant put on a sombre face when introducing those items, especially after showing something like a clip from a naked dating show from Japanese TV.

      It was a gear change but it’s what got me into PIFs and road safety ads as a child. Something I still weirdly have a fascination with now.
