I still remember backing it on indiegogo as one of the first 100 backers. WatchX was designed by Enes and Mustafa all the way back in 2017 if memory serves me. I had first seen it at our local maker fair in the same year. This is one of the projects that I'm really proud to know to have come out of Turkey. Enes and Mustafa along with the community are all so helpful. To anyone considering getting it, do so. Even tough I had one of the first units, I was very happy with the results. I want to re-congratulate Mustafa and Enes. Looking forward to a V2 perhaps :D And to @Electronoobs thanks for covering it.

The Gold plated stainless steel strap has broken on my Seiko watch. I am gutted a it is really expensive to repair, but I would rather repair it than have an all purpose singing and dancing electronic thing that needs charging every day. My watch recharges by the movement of my arm, ergo Automatic analogue watch with a Sapphire crystal window in the back to see the movement. It is poetry in motion for engineers and nerdy peoples like me.

an USB-to-UART chip (or a Programmer IC if you like) is not needed for the ATmega32u4 chip, as it already has USB pins (D+ and D-) built into it. So the WatchX designers only had to route a differential trace connecting the USB plug directly to the ATmega32u4. The ATmega328p (used in Arduino Uno) on the other hand does not come with the luxury of having a native USB support, and thus you will always see that little USB-to-UART chip interposing between the USB plug and the ATmega328p.

I have difficulty finding satisfactory information for my project on the internet. so I wanted to know if I could start from the model of this board (PCB + sensors) as a starting point to build mine. You can't measure oxygen levels in the bloodwith watchX alone. Don't worry about copyright. :)

I got a idea for a cheaper lasting gps wrist watch with lcd+coin battery+smartphone gps sensor+microcontroller+ timezone/DST set button+ light button+ RTC quartz lock button.. the display has Weekday, Current 24h/12h UTC time or Local, Date, Timezone & DST info.. it needs to be simple light like a Casio digital watch while efficiently powered ... it should last year's once charged... no wifi connection needed...it runs in the principal of Find - Fix - Lock - Run...on button press like neo-6m.. and made waterproof shockproof as well..we have our differences but our second should tick the same at least..I bet you can do it.. it's a treasure and it will make you rich..

It is open source but you could adapt it to do your desired work and you could sell the add on sensors and setup!
