I never went to real prison but did a few months in the marine/navy brig and was appalled at how these guys acted and within 2 weeks was actually happy they beat the bullshit out of us with hard labor detail.

You know that double razor blade thing instead of one (so it's harder to stitch) was invented by British skinheads/hooligans/gangs (or it may have been the razor gangs in Glasgow, not sure) afaik and then was adopted by the skinheads in the US, as the UK is where the skinhead culture comes from originally. Thought it was ironic considering it's a Briton, talking about a method of violence in the US, that I believe originates in Britain.

In Philippine prisons, if you are affiliated with a gang and don't have tattoos or if your tattoos are minimal you are considered top-tier. Whereas the ones with huge tattoos are usually the henchmen or the lower-tier members. Those at the top usually would tattoo their names on the low ranks to show everyone who owns who.
These are real horror stories but I just couldnt stop listening 😱

My cousin from Ireland did some time in California and he has a Celtic Cross and a shamrock tattoo. He was approached immediately by what was probably the Aryan Brotherhood and told that his accent was the only thing that prevented him from getting smashed because he obviously wasn't trying to claim gang affiliation. They told him to cover it up or start putting in work.

Or hold any kinda meaning? Are you & Attwood from the Wirral? I had a mate from Wirral (3 mates in fact) very logical when making a point, best one was I met his 70 year old Auntie & I am of Indian heritage (India) & 1st thing she said "Are you Nigerian!?" Most of the time the are put in protective custody because they don't want to get sued if someone hurt them.
Dan Rowe famous people and celebrities like OJ simpson, Robert Downey Jr, etc are usually put in PC (Protective Custody) unless they request to be in G.P. (General Population) unless they are facing sex charges, rape, molestation cases, etc. Those charges guarrantee that youll be placed in PC. Because the cops cannot put sex offenders or people charged with sex crimes on a cell or dorm that is designated G.P. because if they do, someone in there will try to kill them. They cannot put rapos and choemoes in with the rest of us, or they will be killed. So sex offenders are in PC they only come into contact with other sex offenders. They are transported on separate buses to and from court, and housed with others like them.
After knocking down an 11 year bid in Florida, I have to tell you that this issue varies state by state prison by prison.
With that the state of Florida while it's one of the big 3 prison states in the U.S. its one of the least organized when it comes to race, gangs hierarchy etc. So in most prisons in Florida you can get tatted anything you want without much repercussion unless your just a real fkboy.
Very true and alot of people on the streets have different types of white pride tattoos here in Florida. So it is normal here whether you're in prison or not.

Yeah I know, when I got out I moved straight to Cali and like you said it's completely different on this side.
I was locked up in the feds just got there and they shut down the entire place complete lockdown but where we could see what they were doing as they came in and arrested 4 guards for bringing in contraband it was funny how they made sure we all knew it and that our hook up got busted. Next day we had more shit inside than ever as more guards stepped up and even cheaper and more. Funny shit

Johnny Wadsworth right now in the Orange County jail system in OC, California there is a hunger strike going on and has been for several months. Due to inmates protesting the way the cops are mistreating everyone. Ive never been in OC county jail before, but I have been in both Los Angeles county jail as well as Riverside county. L.A. county was alot worse! Riverside sucked but it was better than LA CJ and Wayside.

Because the tattoo means something in prison and you have to earn the tattoo while you are in there and because he didn't earn it that s why he got it fucked up
Because the gangs own certain symbols inside. If you come in with a shamrock tat, it doesn't matter if you were born in Dublin, that's an AB brand and they'll make you cover it up. Refuse it and it'll get cut out. It's a bit like joining the Marines and getting an Eagle, Globe & Anchor tat before you go. You haven't earned the right to wear that.
I doubt the AB would do anything tbf. Do they even exist in Britain? Plus Wildman can certainly handle himself.

shamusfarmer blue ink is homemade tattoo ink, there are lots of things that can make it like pen ink, melted rubber, or clothing dye but blue shows up the best and is easiest to make on yer own

I think it has something to do with the pigment of Caucasian skin which makes any dark ink have a blue tinge. I’m by no means a tattoo artist or expert, but that’s my best guess.
When in prison and they are making black ink it turns a dark blue color. So if the guy came in with a dark black tattoo they would know it was done on the street with professional tattoo ink.
