Wow it looks dangerous what if the person loses his hold the rope

If you lose your grip, you go into the drink
If you time the swell wrong you could find yourself hanging in mid air.
It is risky... I used to do that stuff 30 years ago or so.

Why don't they add extra rope to secure their feet, then it would be way less risky lol

I have one suggestion,
You use bangee jump suit,
Another very important.
You attach two ropes below the middle of rope as per as size of platform at different points.
Left side side will pull for left and right sides will pull for right. It must be enough longer. Keep holding from both sides to save time .
Playing playing, people will understand. No body will fall and right and left side will keep good control while shifting the people or baggage. People can shift easily because middle rope is longer and help will another side. Saving time.

Hi, we are trying to not not being anecdotal. HSE and LTI numbers show that swingrope transfers have a risk of injury much higher than using compensating gangways.
