    We have the same issue in our neighborhood where theses people come in and buy up homes on the cheap then rent them out to anybody ..Our neighborhood was once homeowners who lived here and cared for their property..now our street is dotted with rentals with these landlords who do nothing but collect rent and the renters who barely even mow the grass let alone plant a flower or care for how the property looks..These landlords should be held accountable

      Same. Except the renters aren't bad at all, it's the slumlords who refuse to repair the homes or deal with pest infestations. One of our neighbors were living in dismal conditions - no lock on their front door, no heat/hot water for over a year, rats, holes in walls, raccoons in the attic, etc. The thing is, they didn't have the funds to rent elsewhere and the landlord knew it. This same man owns over 40 properties across the city, many of which are uninhabited _and_ uninhabitable. He's definitely one of the worst, but we also have a lot of absentee landlords who live hours away and the one time they even saw the property was the day they bought it. I know so many young families desperate to buy homes in the city, but are constantly outbid by landlords and private equity firms. Those greedy pigs are ruining our country.

    • @BrianStevens-y6h
      @BrianStevens-y6h 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

  • @MsMadmax1
    @MsMadmax1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    This is why I hate having rental properties in my neighborhood. The tenants aren't invested in the neighbors or the neighborhood where they live because they're not going to be there permanently. The landlords don't care as long as they're getting their rent check every month. And when the rentals are empty, they stop caring about mowing the lawn, picking up trash or making any improvements to the property. The house becomes a blight on the neighborhood.

    • @bkitteh6295
      @bkitteh6295 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      The tenant in the house 3 doors down from me is a breast surgeon. In the rental properties we owned we had a WA state ferry captain, a guy who his entire rent for the year in 1 lump sum in advance, a middle management Costco employee who kept the house & yard spotless, among others. We had only 1 tenant who was slightly less than ideal, and that was due to mental health issues.
      My point being that you are maliciously stereotyping a group of people who are actually wildly diverse - just like homeowners are. For the vast majority of our experience with them, our rental neighbors and tenants have been very invested in their homes and neighborhoods, and we're fortunate they give our neighborhoods a try.

      Wow! So you just discriminate against anyone who isn’t a home owner? I own several properties & for various reasons I have rented all over the country. What does that make me then? They were long term temporary assignments where I was not going to buy or was not interested in buying.
      You’re a judgmental hypocrite who is insanely out of touch with how other people chose to life. Also it’s none of your damn business if a house is owned or rented.

    Based on the way that this homeowner looks in the video wearing a hat and certainly not exactly light clothing, chances are he’s in Youngstown not Africa. It’s easy to appear by Zoom if they allow that kind of stuff but why wouldn’t they get the guy in front of you in person. The neighbors need to have good video and audio evidence. I have a fairly good idea what’s going on here and so do most people including the current residence.

All these outrageous stories of ppl trying to tell others how to live there lives. WTF! They don't even have a real legitimate claim besides the loud music. There wasn't any trash or debris in the picture. Not saying it wasn't there in the past. There just worried bc too many ppl live there and they dont know who they are? A lot of ppl dont know who their neighbors are. They are worried about them but statistics say there is most likely a child in the neighborhood that's being sexually abused, functioning addicts and a few families with domestic violence, but since those are the nice neighbors who hide their evil and maintain their lawns they go unnoticed.

      I agree. Until you have a house next to you owned by an absentee landlord who rents it out to too many people and then the landlord doesn't keep the property clean. Maybe the tenants neglect to keep the property clean knowing the landlord is absent and doesn't care. Isn't the landlord responsible to fix problems either way?
      You would be mad if you were working 60 + hours a week and couldn't enjoy your home on a rare day off because of the loud, trashy, ghetto renters. I have rented and owned. I kept my home clean and quiet. I fought with landlords to fx their property while I paid my rent on time. Other renters don't and they ruin the neighborhood and bring down property values, making everyone around them miserable. Except the absentee landlord in another state or country, he is happily spending that rent money living his best life. That's the way I see the situation.
