Maybe the biggest sign I have this is that I find this ad hilarious lol. But even with a strong family history and decades of back pain, it's so hard to get even rheums to pay attention to it unless you're practically crippled. They don't seem to respond to the niggling, day to day pain, fatigue, and lost sleep, even when it leads to you compromising and compromising and compromising with how you lead your life. I hope there's a similar campaign to raise awareness with medical professionals!

it affects older people too, so this notion of it just affecting younger people is very wrong ....

Thank you for your feedback. On our NASS website (nass.co.uk/) , we do talk more broadly about the condition affecting people of all ages and offering support and advice to everyone. This campaign is specifically for raising awareness of axial SpA for people under 40 because symptoms usually start in mid-teens / early 20s.

@@NASSCentral My comment was just pointing this fact out as it seems to be widely ignored right across the entire web which is a bit sad really. How can so many support groups and big organizations like yours not recognise this? Don't talk about this? and it's great you raise awareness about the disease with younger people really and i think what NASS does is really great I do.
