Chooc Ly is a French-born Afro/Vietnamese/Cambodian artist, DJ and producer. Not limited by a specific genre - but a penchant for infectious and audacious music. Chooc Ly recently played at Swallow, a queer club in Los Angeles; Regenerative Feedback at WORM, Rotterdam; Black Obsidian Sound System at Somerset House studios, London; Yellow Peril: Diaspora Disco x Eastern Margins x Chinabot, at The Yard, London; Chale Wote Festival in Accra, Ghana; Bergen Kunsthall, Norway; The Living Art Museum, in Reykjavik, Iceland.
She also runs a club night called Décalé, a platform that puts on evenings of experimental, collapsing and flawless sounds/visuals. Décalé means: ‘Being displaced in space and time.’ Invited artists have included FAUZIA, Sami Baha, Manara, Sin Wai Kin, Zinzi Minott, Dancing Queer الراقصة المثلية شروق العطار, Fenchville and many more.
She's made remixes for Bas Jan (UK), Whalesharkattack (Norway), Dalcym and Richard Colvaen (both from Belgium).
