I am about 4 years older than you and have been shooting Tri-X Pan since 1968. I agree with what you have said in this video. I shoot digital, too, but Film is still where it is at and Tri-X is that film!
Love the photographs! My last 2 years I start shooting Tx400 I pull it to iso 100 cuz I live in desert very harsh light and dark shadows... Love the output very responsive to pulling. Please keep up posting
Hi Herbie, I've been photographing since the '70s but switched to digital in the early 2000s. I used Tri-X for years, and it was always my go-to film. I was wondering if there is a big difference between the Tri-x of the 90s and the Tri-X of today. Thanks for any input.
From a writer’s perspective, we face a similar dilemma. Do I strive for a pixel by pixel reconstruction of a place or an event, or do I try to tell a story? Can’t do both.
Good morning, Herbie
Enjoyed your video. Thxs a lot!
Have a great Sunday 🙋♂️

Hi Frank! Glad you enjoyed this video. You too, have a great Sunday. !!
Exactly. I suffer from paralysis by analysis. Too many choices. Starting my journey back to film myself.
I hear you loud and clear!

Thanks for commenting William. Tri-X has been around so long and it works so well. Best to you.!

Never pulled tx400. Interesting idea.
I love tri-x but unfortunately it's been really expensive in Canada the last few years. HP5+ is my go-to film.
Hi there. Yes the Kodak film prices have gone up quite a bit. HP5 is a good film too.

Hi Kevin. 2007 it was re-engineered, it has a finer grain and they use less silver in it. Yet it still feels like Tri-X with a little less grain.
@@HerbiePabst Thanks fro the info. I'll try it out and see what I think.

Hi Norm. I agree. Hope all is well. :
