Are they suggesting he went home barefoot then? Because when he was in the bathroom washing his hands and face, he was in Diane and Tony's flat, the bathroom décor is the same, so did he go home barefoot or are they suggesting that he went home, changed his clothes and his shoes and went back to the flat in a different pair of trainers and those are the footprints they saw. Because when he said the trainers were probably at home, they said "They weren't. I think you know that". What's that supposed to mean? That his shoes were left behind? Because if he wore them home, they would be at home. Am I even making any sense? I don't know. None of this makes sense. If he didn't go home barefoot and did wear them in the flat, residue of her blood should be in the flat. Have to wait on forensics when they check the blood they found on the floor and possibly do a more thorough search. So he remembers pushing her and accidentally killing her, maybe he did but maybe with the fragility of his mental state, the detective drilling it completely in his mind, telling him what happened had him believing he did and picturing that he did. I keep remembering when he confessed to killing Fraser even when he didn't. No one drilled him then so even though he didn't remember, he wouldn't have thought about specific details because no one was putting them in his head. This time, the situation was described completely to him and in his mental state, he could picture anything. I'm not saying he's innocent or guilty. I don't know what to think.

I still not believe it was Ste/Harry even the trainers box belong to one of them. James/Scott/Mike/Ryan /Harry /DS Amstrong who is under suspected. because assumed they all wearing black. The washroom flashback scene shown the killer wore dark suit or sweater.
Ste just needs to get his mind clear and try to remember or the real killer slips up and makes a mistake that's the only way Ste will be freed of all chargers if only their was a real decent cop who could help him remember I hate Armstrong and all those bent cops
