If that consultant can't provide a stunning lace mermaid within her $2500 budget then she is shopping at the wrong store. There are wonderful designers who offer fantastic lace gowns in that price range. Rosa Clara, Maggie, Mon Cheri, Jasmine Couture on & on & on.....
Becky Rode amen! My budget was $2000 and I went to two bridal salons right down the street from each other. The first one have so much to offer me. The second shop I had the whole salon to myself and the lady only gave me 3 dresses to try 🙄 even thought I SAW there was a dress I wanted. I went back to the other salon and got my dress there
I agree kleinfeld makes it happen.....her styles are limited....and putting her in a 6000 dress is a waste of damn time
However, the bride has got a bee in her bonnet about the "quality" of the lace (Handmade in Bruges by women wearing mediaeval dress?).
Or go to an independent dressmaker who specialises in wedding dresses. Just another option.
That last dress looked 10 times better than the ballgown.
Keasha needs to redo her inventory if she can provide a lace mrrmaid dress for 2500! That's the most typical wedding dress out there

Kinda lousy for the mother of the groom to suggest they look at more expensive dresses but then not making it obvious if she is willing to pay the extra buck. If she isn't, she shouldn't be stretching the bride's budget (or making her fall in love with a dress she cannot afford). If she does want to pay, then why the hell not let her know? Maybe it's just editing, but the way this clip played left me feeling rather sorry for the bride.
BZJoQu The mother in law isn't gonna pay at all. she didn't say a thing when the bride kept looking at her. she shouldn't have brought her cause she ruined the appointment for the bride. she made her fall in love with an expensive dress and now she doesn't like anything in her budget. Honestly the last dress was beautiful on her and fit her curves
Pink Heart that's why they never should put a dress on the bride over the budget. It bothers me so much that the American versions do this
+Sarah Kinsey this show is based in Toronto. Canadian dollar is worth less than American. Her budget was the equivalent of $1900 US dollars. That isn't exactly a lot if you're looking for a full-length lace gown.

It's probably a tactic from the consultant. Show crappy gowns for the budget price then bring out the expensive gown knowing that nothing will look good after that one is tried on.
"Nice" is a relative term. Considering the dress shop, designer, factory owners, fabric suppliers, etc will all be taking sizeable cuts, how much of that do you think would go to the people who actually MADE it?
This is a luxury store. It's like going to Gucci and wanting a $500 nice bag. You can find that at another store but not Gucci.

That ballgown is basically my whole wedding budget! And it doesn't look nice at all it looks so old and the shape is so ill fitting on her. Definitely the "higher price so it must be better" mindset distorting their views

A buget is a budget, and it's good to learn to stay within it. The wedding isn't about the dress, it's about the commitment. The last dress was beautiful and within budget.
the consultant is a master salesperson. gets the go ahead to go over budget, shows her dresses that look bad. weeeell if we go a little (way over) on the budget I can get you this!

some laces are more expensive and produced in small quantities, and some are mass produced and feel plasticky. It's not easy to see a difference, but you can definitely feel the difference. I agree that the shape of the dress is much more flattering on her but if she compares the lace on both then it would be hard to decide.

That second dress is horrible. Is the stylist just pulling ugly dresses so she can bring a more expensive dress to make her say yes??? Really, she couldn't find something beautiful for less than $5900?!?! I've watched enough say yes to the dress to know that you can find a beautiful dress for less. Also, stop pressuring the bride to buy a dress she can't afford.
If I have to impress my guests at the wedding, I wouldn't invite them in the first place...Its my wedding, and if you won't have a good time and jus the happy, I'd happily ask the security to escort you out.

The last two gowns were the best. If the last dress was within her budget and the other one was not, that to me is the tie-breaker.
Don't be duped, anyone that can't find a dress for under $2500 is making a $2000+ profit. Most people will not remember or care. The bride has to stop trying to impress others and think more about a successful marriage.

She looks way better in the mermaid shape than the ballgown, and most folks won’t know the difference in lace quality. OTOH. if *she* knows the difference, she needs to be willing to pay for it.

The third dress was horrible! The bride looked old fashioned and not the good old fashioned. Furthermore she looked kinda fat like she doesn't have waist at all.
