yes of course, if you have a physical SUICA card with a serial number you can already do that This option is meant for those who dont have one/cant get their hands on one (sold out)/dont want to spend time at the airport to buy one
I am going to japan in August can I register on Visit Japan Web before coming to Japan if I am Polish. Since when will it be necessary to obtain an e-visa? Will it be necessary to have an e-visa and register on the Visit Japan Web site or will only an e-visa be needed? Will I have to apply for e-visa in August or will it be implemented later?
Yes you can pre register your details on the Visit Japan Web for sure, the evisa is not yet live yet so best to check closer towards your trip in August =) enjoy!!
Same here. I did this in April 2024 and I'm doing it again right now. I don't know what else there would be. After completing everything online I had a barcode, did not have to stand in Line with everyone else, but just followed the "have QR-Code" signs where noone was, walked up to one of those terminal things, scanned the barcode and my passport, and that was it... worked very well 😃 That was at Kansai Airport and I'm German...😅
If you mean the pre departure clearance I dont believe this is open to every country if that is your experience, they did mention it is a gradual rollout, i was only there 1 week ago and we definitely did not have this option Visit Japan Web though has been around for ages

For tax refund at the airport, the original packaging with unopended product is compulsory? And these items must be part of cabin baggage?
I think it is like how other countries have been doing it, they might check but most of the time if there's receipts they may not

I did this in 2024 and I have just completed it again for 2025 and I thought this was open to all nit just those from Taiwan
