Nicely done. I love that you spoke about the importance of learning the rhythms on the individual percussion instruments first...ie: Congas, Bell etc. then adapting them on the drum set. This is so important to understand. Good stuff!!
Fantastic playing my man. These rhythms are foreign to me and quite beyond me without a lot of work, so I love how this has that magical/bewildering feeling for me, amazing. Maybe one day I'll give it a try.
Dude, I just uploaded my first try practicing bembé. Damn that rythms is hard! I struggled a lot before getting a "clean" shot. Thanks for sharing the story behind those rythms, I loved it! Subscribed! I want to learn more about this afro rythms.

You're very welcome!
Seeing this written in 4 and the met playing the compound is messing with my head 😂
It’s written in 12/8 and the metronome is outlining the dotted quarter notes, which is the pulse you want to feel with this music.
Thanks for sharing!
Do you have a link to the intro track? Or link to a playlist of similar sounds?
I don't. As I produce more tracks that are 100 percent owned by me, I will organize them and share them out.
