Very nice. I love your innovations on the build. How did you manage to pull the skin tight and attach it to the cake pan. That seems like it required quite a bit of thought to accomplish.

@@tedsdogwalking I soaked the skin in cold water for 20 minutes. Then I stretched it over the pan using self tapping sheet metal screws to attach it. I attached one screw, and then another one directly across from it as tightly as I could. Then I just kept attaching them one across from another as I went until they were closely evenly spaced and the skin was secured. As the skin dries, it shrinks and becomes as tight as a drum.

@@aaronflinner6431 Brilliant. I knew it couldn't be tacks, but I was trying to figure how I would do it. Your way is definitely less complicated than how I would try to do it. Hopefully, by the end of November I will be able to post a video of a build that I am working on now. It will be a mountain banjo based design using a craft box about the size of a cigar box. I built the head with a stencil sheet using a heat gun to tighten it up after tacking it to the head ring. I'm interested to see how it sounds. I've seen other videos where plastic soda bottles were used. This plastic sheet has the same properties, and it definitely tightened up under heat. Thank you for your time in responding. I appreciate it.

@@tedsdogwalking I’ll be looking forward to seeing your build. Sounds like a cool design. I always figure it’s so much fun building these kinds of things, it’s really okay if it doesn’t work out. It’s way more fun if it does though. Good luck on yours. I’ll keep an eye out for a video if you’re planning on posting one.
