- Lifestyle reporter Mar Yvette features Wagakki Band from Japan for their first-ever US performance on the Good Day LA show (07/02/2015).
You can tell the male host loves music. He was in awe when he found out their performance was only acoustic and it wasn't the full band. He's also very gracious to the performers wanting to say their name right and when the lady was struggling to find the words to describe what Wagakki fuses traditional music with, the gentleman just says "Well, they rock out!".

I absolutely love Wagakki Band but I think this performance isn't representative of how amazing they really are. I agree it sounds like they had to tone it down, which I think never does a band justice.
The sound is all messed up, too, like Good Day LA just wasn't equipped for musical performances.
I really love them, too but they have to tone it down because in the performance they dont have a guitar wires, or what ever it is, and if you hadn't realize the room is bit small, so they the person who is doing this show must have ask them to play more softly.

+Giatung Huynh For some reason, the set wasn't set up to handle the amplifiers for the bass and guitar, so they went with an acoustic performance instead.
Accoustic version on this is very traditional by the way.
Good thing, too! Otherwise they'd have to rebuild that studio!
that funky guy's name is WASABI he is a great and my favorite drummer

I like how at the beginning you can see Asa quickly rushing off the screen. Also the contrast between Yuko speaking english timidly and then singing powerfully is crazy

I guess they locked the bass player and drummer in the hotel room. That's why it's lacking a little punch, but they still sounds amazing. And it's always an amazing presentation when you have a lead singer who looks and sounds like she does !

This wasn't their first appearance! They were big in Japan and Asia. plus they played in France 2014... This woman the presenter is the most ignorant person I ever saw on TV.how an international or Japanese band comes to your program and you don't know the name of their instruments. She is very rude! Ignorant people shouldn't have space anywhere!
