My dad passed away from Covid in 2021 suddenly. He had just turned 62 and didn’t make it to retirement. It changed my perspective entirely. I was a girl boss girly and that fucked me up. My dad worked his ass off his whole life just to not make it to retirement. It was heartbreaking. Not just because I lost my dad but to see him work his ass off to not see any of the fruits of his own labor. I’m mad at the world we live in right now and I understand why everyone else is too.

So sorry for your loss, I lost my step father in 2022 it’s not easy. My stepdad worked so incredibly hard for me and my sisters. He worked holidays and weekends when he got the chance so he could afford the basics as well as have extra cash for our birthdays. He got sick and his job left him in the dust!!! Absolutely heart breaking! Not everyone makes it to retirement age not everyone will be able to make it to retirement age healthy. Work work work just to keep on struggling. We work YEARS and YEARS and still living paycheck to paycheck ????

It's interesting to me that the world is almost regressing back to how things used to be. Back in the day, the rich were filthy rich, set to rule over all of those that fought for scraps and paid what little they had as tax to the wealthy. There was little to no hope of climbing up the hierarchy of wealth unless you were married into a noble family or recognized by them in some way. The only difference is, if the townspeople or peasants under their rule didn't get the protection and rights they deserved within the village or kingdom, they would revolt or leave. Which in turn weakened the rich, as they weren't being provided with the fruits of their peoples' labors, leaving them to starve and go broke themselves. Or left them susceptible to attack from opposing houses.
Now here we are again, a nation ruled by people and governments that hoard their wealth while we all sink deeper and deeper into financial hardship. And everyone is noticing that the 'royals' of the nations are unworthy, fraudulent, dishonest, and greedy leaches that don't deserve the power they wield.

Tyson Foods shut down a huge plant recently that employed townspeople for decades. Now, they are going to open again, and this time, employ illegal -- er…umm… excuse me “undocumented” aliens/migrants and pay them much less. Why do you think the border is open willy-nilly?
I'm all about helping people, and I am all about immigrants. But there are proper ways to enter this country to ensure our safety. No doubt, terrorist cells are set up all over the country, just waiting to band together and take over our nation.
People need to go back and listen to President Obama way back in the day talking about entering our country the proper way. If you didn't know who was talking, you would think it was President Trump. Sorry. I did not mean to make this political, but it is what it is. Waiting for people to come for me and bite off my head.

Kinda like those elite university students protesting; they're supposed to inherit the power but they're fighting for the oppressed and realizing the whole private school complex is a scheme from the same people that sell guns and garbage food and exploit their fellow humans: their parents. Rich kids are gonna break generational curses and it will have world shattering consequences.

“Farmers market extend to a bigger culture” I’d die if the US had a thriving market culture like other places in the world. Where you could go outside and get what want and need, and it doubles as a community space and in real life community building. The markets in Europe, come to mind, Florence, Rome, those all over Germany in basically every little town to the big cities. It’s so cool to have fresh food, local food, local goods around. I live in the 3rd most walkable city in the US and I still feel like there’s not enough small areas of commerce and markets around.

Supporting youtuber's through merch is kind of start of this really. People are willing to pay for cups and shirts with Antphrodite's phrases because they love him and want to support him. They could instead buy a cheap mug from walmart or not buy more mugs they probably don't need for much cheaper.
This also reminds me of those really boring ceramic mugs with the huge print in a pretty unnatractive font that so many people loved. I think originally were hand made and then the company got bough out. It seems more mass produced but really we see a lot of smaller business choosing to sell to larger businesses and make a small fortune for it. Black indie brands in the hair industry in particular come to mind. Unfortunely at that point the beloved business turns what once was the ideal in to the opposite of that but it shows that people are valuing buying quality products from smaller businesses for more money.
That shows that supporting small businesses that you know can be popularized and marketed to earn a ton of money. It could also be done in a different ways. The successful mom and pop shop could instead pay for employess to assist and pay them a working wage. This would require charging more for products but Americans may be becoming more willing to pay more to support small business.

I heard an interesting insight from an IT consultant today, which is that AI is deliberately sensationalised by big tech: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, etc. They are developing these technologies but they are also behind a lot of the media hype.
They want everyone to think that AI is the next big thing and your business is dead in the water if you don’t adopt it.
But that doesn’t follow historical trends in tech development; it’s a pressure that comes from the top down, driven by vested interests.
People are believing the hype and giving it more power and importance than it actually has.
The amount of potential errors made by AI is far too risky and expensive for any business to make it the basis of everything.
That perspective made me instantly relax, and released this pressure of “AI is taking over and the world is changing in a blink of an eye” which is basically the current narrative everywhere you look! 😸

Not me wanting to start a clothing shop not for money but for the simple fact that I know where companies who upcharge 100% and donate “10% to natives who make the clothing” actually source the clothing (researching large companies and where items are sourced is your friend and pretty easily accessible) I just go straight to the source and purchase directly giving 100% to the native source. While yes the shipping is $20 not $5…the product is worth that shipping cost. I’d only charge packing and shipping charges if I were to start a shop and even then if you find a wholesaler they are still a middle man with a recommended MSRP. Go straight to the source people! I'm a little conflicted about this. So many people talk about urban design and how dense city living is better for us bc of things like public transport etc, but I've always wanted to be like...but what about all the people who prefer to live in the country? Or the people who prefer a modicum of privacy and don't wanna be stacked between floors of neighbors? Or people who wanna find a medium between the city and country and go for the suburbs, even with all the flak suburbs get? While city living has its pros, there's a part of me that also thinks we weren't necessarily meant to live like that, at least not to the extreme.

I think I’ve already been seeing this unwinding of all kinds. Spiraling down from covid, financial hardship, the Palestine people and the boycott. It’s just over all pushing to doing things ourselves, plus Nara Smith trending consistently with making her own food and how easy it is to do despite the time it takes

As a Millenial, I feel this so much. There are so many who are already doing the whole “fuck it, I’m not paying that” thing. We feel so misled and taken advantage of. We are no longer interested in doing what you think we should do because we’ve done that already and it’s gotten us nowhere.

I live in Australia, we source our weekly food from independent people rather from the big supermarkets. Lots of little businesses out there if u search for it.

I also think AI will get rid of the middle man to a lot of things like stock trading, legal issues, filing taxes etc I recently saw a commercial for AI when making a claim for car accidents so I wouldn’t be shocked if that’s the direction it goes

So interesting because I’ve been feeling called to shop as local as possible, even buying directly from local farmers. I’m so tired of the corporations price gouging.

I’m LOVING these types of readings ✨ you’re reading was literally describing the next several yrs as Pluto makes its way further through Aquarius ✨once Pluto stops retrograding back into Capricorn & makes its way through Aquarius over the next 15ish yrs we will see sooooo much of this current system crumble & change ☀️ the money system will fail/change (don’t worry, it’s nothing to be scared of) ☀️ just like Ant said, it will be more about community ☀️ jobs, food, & even the medical system will change ☀️ change might be hard for a lot of us, but it’s change for the better ☀️ I wish nothing but the most benevolent outcomes for everyone ☀️ even when it’s hard when you’re “going through it” you totally got this ❤
