The measuring is broken in the game anyway. I have hit homers to the same area, different rows, and the one that lands closer is longer than the one behind it.
I’ve been noticing the same thing with deGrom. He struggles at hitting spots with the slider but is fine with every other pitch. It seems that you really need to bury it in the dirt for it not to go down the middle
In my experience with ohtani if I build confidence with the fastball and splitter in the first inning then bleed the rest in he does better with control also the split is more effective when you use the lower half with the fastball
I agree. I have more success with Wander simply because I’m better with lefty bats vs righty pitchers. The fact he is a switch hitter makes him better in my opinion. That being said I’ve never seen a better swing on a righty middle infielder than the new trea turner and Xander cards.
