An even simpler way to make a pattern with stuff you already probably have, is to use hot glue on a hard flat surface. I did it this way when I was a child. It works pretty well and it's really easy.
As a designer (UX/UI) I am excited and inspired by product design especially woodworking and embossing/debossing. Your attention to detail is impeccable. That home-made embossing pen thingy looks like an expensive precision tool.
Hey! great video! An easy way to check the deepness setting of your CNC is to use an multi-meter in continuity check mode. Simply tape a small square of aluminium paper on your material and check the continuity between the CNC mill and the aluminium square. As soon as the continuity is reached, the CNC mill is just touching the material. It's easy, cheap and aluminum paper sheets are thinner than paper ones.
you knew i'm multi talented just like you,but i don't have machines to realise a lot of thing you are the best of caurse, ; ) it's realy amazing to watch your videos i'm moroccan youtuber
Well I need to try this, not only because the end product will be incredible if it's anywhere near as nice as yours, but also because I absolutely love carving linoleum so any excuse I can get to do it more often I'll gladly take!
Great video as always =) I am a student right now, so I can't afford Patreon, but if I could - your channel is definitively one I would support! Your creativity is awesome and contagious =) Thanks for sharing =)
one need all these machinery and the knowledge to make this tool ,well who all can do this ?great technician you are, wonderful to watch you working !! Leave this to my next life ,had great desire to learn though !!
Love embossing! It really makes print designs pop. We feature a few of these projects on our channel as well and always love when people send in cool embossing projects!
Wow I really like those ideas I don't know where you come out with this I ideas but this is why I love watching your videosI love the imaginations and the work you put into
Thank you so much for this tutorial! If I decide to make my logo into a hand-made embosser that you showed towards the end, I will be sure to share with you. This has made my day! Thank you.
You really do need to watch this all the way through bc she does show a cool method using accessible tools and I did have a great laugh @how to emboss without a machine but you'll need: CNC Milling Machine Wooden dowel Brass dowel Table clamp Metal saw Wood saw Electronic caliper Drill Sanding machine Wax varnish And paper lol;) I drooled at the CNC - how fun it must be to have all those cool tools
Great that great idea, I admire your skill, and creativity, a great example for many young and old, if so, do not get tired of making these videos, at least here tienens a follower,
Carving into linoleum is a lot harder then you think, especially if your weak af, I made a print for art class and it was painful to my wrist after a while of continuous carving , but it is very relaxing like it was said in the video
if you have access to screw clamps (or the ability to make some) you can make a simple 1 tonne press to emboss whole pieces all at once. You'll need some blocking (padding) to get the effect. Dense wool sheets work well, felt can work too. It's good to have a sheet or two of newsprint (
Thank you so much... This is SOOOO interesting... I love your tools too... I flip houses and I have more tools than all my brothers... This is a great Video... ;)
i love your channel so much! PLEASE make more videos about furniture and so!!!!! you are so good in this! damn. the sounds in the background are the best really i enjoy all of you!
Embossing by hand at home materials: 1. CNC machine 1000$ to 50000$ 2. Wood press 20$ to 100$ 3. Sand paper 5$ 4. Electric sanding machine 50$ to 500$ 5. Metal and wood bar 25$ 6. Wood base 15$ 7. Optional wood varnish 10$ The experience of embossing by yourself with your own hands, priceless!
I bought metallic paper that I hope I can replicate your results with. I also am thinking to use a stamp so I don't have to come up with any designs myself for the block... although aware it might be a bit spooky negative space? Hope you are doing well!
