might have a split gear, take the trucks apart look for split gears or spurs.
What make is it?I know athearn make one, I have athearn sw7, but it runs terrible and the gears are noisy!any advice?
When u say noisy; u mean the gears?mine to! and the pickups needed wiring correctly to run. athearn is rather low quality, oh and it now derails when it slips- jumping cogs!
when u load it up the gears jump as if the axles move so it derails, always has been a cheap model, I like atlas and proto2000 best.
