Out of all the things this movie did well, the battle choreography was #2. The music is #1. It really goes hand in hand. When they sneak into the castle there is a little mouse theme for Reepicheep and his knights. I am not sure if it's a muted trumpet or a oboe, but it sounds really cool.
Somewhere from 3:40 to 4:00 That piece of music is used in Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe when the white witch rides her chariot through the smoke, and peter's unicorn is shot w/ an arrow.
I absolutely love the violin chord's that lead the piece. As a former violin player, I can imagine the sync and order the chords and notes had to be in. 04 sec through 40 seconds in, the tremble of the chords are very precise. Lovely piece of orchestral music, it went well with the scene it was used in.
@@stopcallingmebomb2385 I love Hans Zimmer but I gotta hand it to Gregson-Williams and Shore, tbh. Zimmer is great but also... not really memorable sometimes. The score is just epic. In LotR and Narnia, everything fits for me
@@stopcallingmebomb2385 I actually prefer Gregson-Williams music to his mentor Zimmer's. Reason being you can enjoy Gregson-Williams completely out of context of the film. Zimmer is great in films but I'll tell you this: Gregson-Williams original compositions are on my playlists, Zimmer's aren't (although his arrangements of pre-existing works like William Tell and Nimrod are).
why does everyone not want to see the Silver Chair if it comes out? It's really interesting! Read the book, Jill is one of my favourite characters! I can't wait to see her! (P.S. on a side note my favourite character from the whole narnia series is Aravis, I hope they'll do that movie ^_^)
I love this soundtrack, not only because it's awesome, but because it's also not like other soundtracks in that it has almost all long pieces. Seriously, it kinda irks me when a movie has really good music, but a ton of the soundtracks are... 1 minute long! Or if they're feeling daring... 2 whole minutes! And meanwhile, this one hardly has a piece below 4. Love it.
@Serenity1 LOL that's when she sees Peter. And her reflection's changed to Susan's reflection. That's why I thought that Anna must have had played for like 20s or so. :P
I'd love sheet music from there to the end. That's actually the section of The Battle that was not in the theatrical cut, I'd like to put it babk in my arrangement.
@TheArcher101 The Pevensie are the best, but the other books are still very well worth reading, I assume the movies will be as well. Plus I bet the soundtrack will be as awesome as the trilogy.
@Serenity1 LOL I actually got lucky. A series of theatres (something like a company of them) had a raffle. I won four tickets to watch Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader! :D
I know it's 10 years later but spoiler allert: Voyage of the Dawn Treader suffers from Gregson-Williams's absence. That and the ending feels like a studio exec at Walden said to wrap everything up after they lost Disney's backing (luckily I think I have an effective idea for a sequal that I intend to write. I don't think Lewis would like it to put it lightly, but I don't care, it's the message the world needs today)
I like Narnia but only if it's with the pensieve children... (can't spell their name). I'm not sure if I'm going to watch the Silver Chair since it doesn't have Peter, Susan, Lucy or Edmund in it. It depends on how good the movie is...
@Serenity1 Just came back. Well, I was about 8 mins late, but I didn't see all four of them. Though there is a scene where Peter, Ed and Lucy are there (won't say when, but quite early into the film), and at one point I think Anna played (as a reflection of Lucy), but they didn't really meet up in as it was shown in the trailer. I guess they just added that part up? Though once again, I was a bit late, and did go to the bathroom in the middle of it. But I personally didn't see the scene. :/
@tubez4321 Because people are used to saying "song" to mean "music that begins and ends, whether it has lyrics or not." I know it's not technically correct, but that's why.
@Serenity1 I haven't been there yet. It's tomorrow. That's a huge question for me as well. I think they will be there. I'll tell you as soon as I watch it! :P
@bearinwonderland818 I wasn't either going to watch the 3rd movie as well because I thought susan and peter weren't going to be in it. Though they'll be in it for just a cameo appearance... I'm really going to watch the movie and I'm sure I'm not going to watch The Silver Chair in theatre. I'll buy the movie when it comes out to complete my Narnia series, but not in theatre. I wonder if they'll reprise their role in the last movie? The last book was sort of boring to me though...
@Parham1995 well at least we get to see peter again even though it's only for a few minutes! I read somewhere in the book that lucy is reading this book and she sees herself beautiful and she sees susan like a rival or something to looks... how long was the movie in total? I'm going to see it in 3 days!
For the love of all things music - this is not a "song". It's a piece, or an orchestral movement. People make this mistake all over TH-cam and I wonder why.
actually lotr books are better according to the opinion of the majority, even though, Narnia books are great too, the soundtrack is completely different my friend. :)
listening to the soundtracks from Narnia helps me with my anxiety

Fangornmmc So agree with you. The soundtrack is a masterpiece.
its a muted trumpet
These soundtracks are the best for studying and homework
This is precisely what I am doing right now. 😊
Somewhere from 3:40 to 4:00
That piece of music is used in Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe when the white witch rides her chariot through the smoke, and peter's unicorn is shot w/ an arrow.
6:24 to the end; is simply astounding!

The strings in Prince Capsian's soundtrack are of a surgical precision all along, this is impressive
Edmund was just so epic during this scene. I want to be his best friend.
Me tooooooo
Yeah he became a badass and purposely fell off that tower like Gandalf from Lord of the Rings, then rode off on an eagle just like Gandalf lol.
@@latter-daysaintbatman2679 a griffin actually, but still epic
To jest cholernie perfekcyjne!!!
LOTR and Narnia have the most epic movie music in the world.
Hans Zimmer....?

I totally love Narnia soundtracks
Listening to this makes me feel like breaking into a high security building. XD
Harry Gregson is a genius.
How can someone create so a music?
I love Narnia's Soundtrack

this song is just like...pure magic. just takes my breath away.
3:30-3:47
Epic beyond words.
2019 😍
so so beautiful
I like this song is excellent, and the film is also incredibly
@Parham1995 still, you're lucky to go there three days earlier. I can't wait within 3 days!!!
It's really a shame that they cut out most of the buildup music in this scene. It's some of the best music in the movie. So tense.
3:00 ♥
I'd love sheet music from there to the end. That's actually the section of The Battle that was not in the theatrical cut, I'd like to put it babk in my arrangement.

@thejaimeshow2000 Well from 3:00 it's lion witch and the wardrobe battle soundtrack.
@NarniaBonkers And Dawn Treader is awesome too!!!!! I swear these movies have such beautiful soundtrack!!!!!!!

Pevensie.
Then you have great taste, my friend!
very cool
Narnia has some great soundtracks, but so does Harry Potter. Schildier's List is pretty good too.
@tsyganko Because it's outside the Pevensie Trilogy. I myself may see it depending on trailers.
@thejaimeshow2000 :/ It broke my heart. I can watch 300 and not shed a tear. But kill a unicorn?!?! Waaa....

Anyone else notice the base undercurrent once it really gets going? Also why can Fauns all of a sudden do parkour? :L :P

@Parham1995 really? how was the movie? I'm planning tow atch it this upcoming friday... did it really show peter and susan again?
@quizzisation Well, my friend, we can only hope!
Also pirates of the Carribbean!
Dammit, srry NarniaBonkers, I hit the wrong button, I was going to give you a thumbs up. :(
Anyway, AWESOME INVASION SONG
even if the lord of the rings movies are better than the narnia movies, when it comes to the books and the soundtrack:
narnia > lotr

sounds like a ww2 German raid on London
Don't be a fool by messing with Satan's number. Remember the back story behind Aslan's character, he is to represent Jesus.
