So great to see something like this being done. Bus drivers are so far from nobody’s and getting to know them, and we do when using buses often, familiar face makes a difference
Yeah right, defects, most likely same as other Transport Depots, drive it with defects or u sacked or defect vehicle gets passed to last driver in so has no choice but to take it
It's illegal to drive a bus with certain defects, the company can actually lose their operating licence as has happened several times in the West of England.
@@fin57 Thanks. I’m going to do anything to avoid taking a diesel bus or coach again. No way I’m going back to vibraty, stressful, dirty diesel buses after driving an EV for 4 years. Luckily the Southern train system is almost 100% third rail electrified and once they make e-scooters legal I’ll probably use those as well as my bike for the local stuff. Even though it sucks to cycle here. I’d rather cycle amongst drivers who hate me on roads with no infrastructure than take a diesel bus.

When will all the buses in the fleet be full EVs?
Probably a while as the last batch of new buses hastings had was 2017 but if any it would be the single deckers
@@definitelytransport484 What did they buy in 2017? Was it the hybrid double deckers?
@@christill probably just normal mmcs
@@fin57 Stupid question but MMC is the standard diesel version?
