Throwing and Altering Pottery - Fruit Bowl

This video clip captures the process of making a 4-sided fruit bowl.
In this video, I share the process of altering and finishing off a piece of pottery. I start by throwing a bowl on the potter's wheel. After a couple days of drying, I remove the bowl from the bat and trim the foot ring. This video picks up after that point and shows how I create a uniform cut in order to make a 4-sided bowl.
Tools I use include a bendable plastic ruler, knives, and a chamois. The tool I use to center the pot for trimming is called a Giffin Grip. The music played in this video is called "Campfire Song" and can be downloaded for free from the TH-cam audio library.
