Tried Jawa 42 & Harley Davidson 750 Drag Race.
Found out my Jawa 42 Top Speed.
Though I know there's no comparison between a Harley Davidson and a Jawa, there's no harm in trying a fun drag race, and seeing how Jawa 42 does against a Harley when it comes to power and speed.
Where, of course, Harley Davidson 750 Street outranked my Jawa 42 and disappeared into thin air in just a few seconds, I found something shocking about my Jawa... and that is, my Jawa 42 doesn't go above 120km per hour.
So contrary to what some other channels claimed (and rather showed) that Jawa 42 has a top speed of 140kmph, my claim says that Jawa 42 (at least my Jawa 42) does not go above 120 kmph.

Since a lot of you are asking...
I felt almost no vibration at 120. My bike went to 120 very easily, and that's why I'm a little shell-shocked why it literally stopped at 120 and didn't go above.i could feel there's more power in it and it can still go above, but it just stopped.
As I said, almost no vibration at 120 but the bike was wobbling a little. The grip was pretty good at 120kmph and it didn't feel that I'm losing control.
Just need to dig into why my bike stopped at 120 and didn't go above it, but overall pretty satisfied with how it did, given its not even a 300cc (293 to be exact) engine.
PS: because Jawa's acceleration is so quick, it does give you the confidence to drag race with pretty much every bike out there. We had a RE classic and Thunderbird as well (with whom the drag race video is coming next tomorrow) and they were left behind like a bunch of tricycles they were (lol, kidding guys).

Harley Davidson Street 750 is such a machine which can give a tough chase for a Fat Boy or Breakout (1650cc) or Kawasaki Z1000 at an amazing 160kmph. A perfectly customised and tuned Street 750 will make jaws drop.. Jawa is not even a prey for Street 750. I don't think even Interceptor will hold for long with Street 750.
Yes. I was unable to pass 120 mark while test ride . I think it is due to the fact that jawa has drum brakes at rear thats why 120 is the limit.

Please run in the engine, before revving it hard, for the first 2000 kms properly with at most patience for better durability, performance and fuel efficiency.
Refer to the manual for details. This is Mandatory for any bike or car.

May be a defective vehicle, please check. Hope your vehicle is under warranty. Coz I took a TD and revv upto 133KMPH on full throttling.

Reminded me of your drag race with the RE Classic 350, but that result was a little like the opposite of this race! Nice try bro...i know street 750 is very powerful because i have one..it has more than enough power than we need..on Indian roads..even on 4 track national highway i have faced ridiculous problems like cow crossing, any person from village with tractor comes from no where, so 100/120 kmph is more sufficient to ride..and yes i always wear helmet..

If you guys can get your hand on a Honda Rebel 500, then do a drag between the HD 750 & the
Rebel. You will be surprised by the numbers. Jawa just doesn't cut it with any of HD wheels. Anyway, an interesting video, keep it up.

Your riding posture is wrong. That's the CORRECT answer. Since you have a small capacity motorbike, posture matters a lot. If you bent all the way to the tank and kept your head up, it would've done 10kmph more minimum.
