Hope you feel better soon! I’m only at the beginning of the vid but your hair looked beautiful before you even put it up! Looks pretty both ways, but I hope you know how gorgeous it looks down as well, even before you’ve styled it 🫶🏽

Glad to see another long form video from you!
Loved the flat modification ideas; I'm going to be moving into a new flat in a few months and have been wracking my brain to come up with ways to modify it to make it accessible.
I haven't been brave enough to try Doctor Who again lol my first episode was also the weeping angels.

The long form videos are back every Thursday at 5pm!! Adapting places is so tricky so it’s all about buying little bits and bobs that can help. Maybe I should make a video on it?

Sounds like a fab video idea. I'd love to see more of your setup and how you've adapted your flat

I was just diagnosed with hEDS this year, and watching you and how you explain your symptoms and pain is exactly how I feel.
Not having an appetite and struggling to eat is all too real.
It’s nice to know I’m not alone with the bad days. The day seems to never end when I’m feeling unwell, it’s just as hard mentally as physically.

I’m glad these videos help. I tend to hide away on the bad days but knowing that they help people by sharing makes me want to do it more. Fingers crossed for some good days though!

Hey Ellie thanks for the video as always nice to see hope you cope when u struggle. one question have you spoken to your local council about what there can offer with funding to make your flat more accessable? as they might be able to help you with making the kitchen easy to use with maybe some cupboards that you an kinda pull out but then come down.
its always worth asking to see what avabile.
also its really good to have a PT, I have one to and it really does give you that reason not get up and go to the gym .

I don’t plan on staying in my flat for too long so I’m thinking of saving adaptations until I’m a bit more settled somewhere. I want to get it right and really think it through. I also don’t have a physio here! Not sure if it’s an NHS thing or I’d have to pay privately but I should probably look into it!

@@SmallandStrong66 I pay someone to help me with my PT we go to a local gym thats set up for people recovering from SCI's and other injuries. and yeah if your only in ur flat for a shot time its probably not worth doing anything till you are in somewhere permanent.

My hair is the same!! Weirdly soft and not tangly. It never occurred to me that it might be an EDS thing lol

    • @SmallandStrong66
      @SmallandStrong66  หลายเดือนก่อน

Every hair and makeup artist I’ve ever had comments on how they’ve never felt hair so soft! Someone asked me if I take collagen to make it that way which is what made me think of it as an EDS thing

@SmallandStrong66 That's so interesting! I guess soft skin is an EDS thing, so why not soft hair? 🤷‍♀️

I never have to brush my hair and it’s never tangly, I always get told it’s soft and have eds so this is interesting

Amazing video as always....You can buy transfer boards specifically for the bath so on flare up days you could use that to transfer then lower / manoeuvre yourself into the tub

    • @SmallandStrong66

I’ve never used a transfer board before but I’ll look into it!

Sorry you had one of those days. But fantastic to see Ralph Lauren Henry holding the fort...and chatting his little curly head off!
