- A few months back, FortMax asked if I had any Beast Wars toy ads, as Shout! Factory was looking for some for the DVD release. Unfortunately, I never got around to looking. But since then, I've discovered I have pretty much all of the Fox Kids promos for "Transformers: Robots in Disguise", including a few toy ads. Also included, all of the commercial bumpers for the show, with the show's voice cast doing the voice-overs.
Also included are the launch promos for "Beast Machines: Transformers". This includes the infamous "Evolution Revolution" music video, and its shorter cut-down. Also, a contest spot. TRANSFORM... AND ROLL-OUT!
Ohh the Nostalgia. This and Power Rangers Time Force was this shit. I remember I'd always watch Fox Kids to watch them, and being pissed if they weren't on. Sky-Byte was badass, I had the toy.
This show only premiered in America because Hasbro scrapped the proposed TransTech series & needed an already completed series to fill the gaps until the "Unicron Trilogy" was ready. This was the last cel-animated "Transformers" series to have stable cel-animation before it became blobby & would compensate with CGI. It was at a time when Fox Kids was on it's last legs and on it's way out (just like NBC Saturday mornings 10 years earlier).
You know, it is pretty nice idea to have Animal robots VS Vehicles robots,
I mean with the Maximals VS the Vehicons or Decptacons, like in this or Beast Wars II or Beast Wars NEO, you get that feeling that environmental feeling when you're rooting to protect nature & all of the wilderness like in Captain Planet or Blinky Bill
& when it's the Autobots VS the Predicons, like in Robots in Disguise (also known as Car Robots), you get the classic movie feeling of the love of good old giant monsters taking over the city & the only thing that can stop them are a good rescue team who can fight against them is our good old Rescue Patrol, like in Classic monster movies like Godzilla or King Kong
ether way, it's a pretty cool concept, you understand?
This show premiered 3 days before 9/11 in the US.
+Steven Dolce I remember recording the very first episode on it's premier and it was suppose to show more during the week until that happened. Once everything was back to normal fox decided two cancel two episodes of RID because they had a scene involving destroyed tall buildings.
I remember that time quite well. It preempted episode 3 which debuted Team Bullet Train even though it aired in some parts of the country before the terrorist attacks.
Wonder if any kid actually tried running from house to house while changing Optimus and Magnus before combining them into Omega Prime.

The Transformers Robots in Disguise promos are my favorite more than the promos for the other Transformer series.

@shaun991000 Station versions are left clean for local affiliates to tag on their own, as in add their own announcer, or their own time slot (as a lot of channels time shifted the kids' shows).
This series originally premiered in Japan in 2000 as Transformers: Car Robots.
I'm wondering about Shout Factory releasing this too. I've seen other Saban shows, mostly Power Rangers, in their catalog. That got my hopes up because this is pretty much the only Transformers show to air in America that HASN'T had a DVD release.

The Fox Kids shows that aren't Power Rangers or Digimon are still owned by Disney, who insists on doing literally nothing with them apart from the Marvel cartoons.

Has anyone tried to pull one over Fox Kids by making them play the original Car Robots episode instead of Transformers: Robots In Disguise? Also, Transformers Car Robots: what rating would you think the FCC would have given the original Japanese dub? I think...maybe a TV-PG 13 rating?

I love how they promoted the shit out of beast machines more than beast wars, expecting it to be the best show on their network
Yet it ended up being so terrible, so widely hated it only lasted 2 years before ending compared to beast wars 4 and is also considered to be one of the biggest flops in transformers

"Beast Machine" premiered 9/18/1999 & "RID" premiered in Japan 4/5/2000 on TV Tokyo & in America 9/8/2001 on Fox Kids.

i have the complete beast machines on dvd but the robots in disguise from 2001 fox kids are not on dvd when will it be on dvd for all transformer fans ?
