I just bought a Trend I used it in league play without any practice ahead of time. I discovered this ball made it possible for me, a bowler with quite limited revs, to go farther left into the oil than I have ever bowled (50 years in league).
Belmo being able to manipulate a ball any way he wants without rec bowlers noticing while selling it like it has to do with ball is Storm’s marketing dream.
I'd love to see some more up the track deliveries as the league bowlers I see dont have 500 revs ;). Also, how about Steve throwing a few shots? I do like the pin down read throough the mids though. I bowl late shift and the mids are kind of beat up so I have to hook around them and it's a bit far left for my comfort.
Just picked mine up last night...Definitely lives up to the high hopes I had for it. Nice addition to my IQ emerald, and HyRoad x ammo. 🤟👌 Very clean, pushes through the heads slightly better than the IQ.
Good to see the ball put through the motions on a typical house shot seems very versatile looking forward to getting my hands on one to replace my code black
just a heads up can you please update your layout chart to remove the balance hole and maybe some info on no thumb rollers seems to be a little out dated
Storm Engineer: That’s what you see here in these two different balls, is that it goes through that oil pattern smoothly even though the lanes have seen 30 to 49 years of league play on them, and carry its weight a little deeper despite having a 2000 grit finish on them, and flip deeper into the friction end and change trajectory so smoothly yet with plenty of force, which is what we want out of these balls. The Dude: Well, that’s just your opinion, man 😎
There is no pin down 2LS layout for 2 handers on the 2LS guides I have seen. None of Jason's layouts look like 2LS actually. Curious what system he uses for his layouts.
I wish my "Old" bowling alley was that nice. The local one has a highly inconsistent shot, even for really good bowlers, and my less than two year old crux prime looks like I have been bowling in a parking lot only bowling once a week there. The lanes probably haven't ever been cleaned either.
Would you guys suggest me the Trend as my first ball ever? 450 rpm and 16 mph speed, bowling with 11 lbs and two hands, giving strong hook to plain house balls. And... People are saying that 12 lbs TREND is LIGHTER. Is that correct?
@@ardaakel8123 if you are hooking the whole lane with a house ball then that means your lanes are really dry. Dont start out with a trend, it will be TOOO strong. If youre really telling the truth that youre hooking the whole lane with a house ball, just get a spare ball and use it as your strike ball...
Storm I have a question Jason said the pin down would be a smoother roll and go further down the lane here's the part I don't get doesn't the pin down start the roll sooner and wouldn't that start the flip sooner therefore hook earlier down the lane can't tell where the lower indicator was on that ball -was it tilted out or inwards to his palm I always thought like old pancake weight block days pin over fingers later break more aggressive flip pin down early roll sooner the flip
Assuming same pin to PAP length, pin up will be quicker off the spot. Pin down will be slower. Pin down rolling sooner is old school thinking and it is wrong. Pin to PAP will change where it hooks on the lane. Pin buffer distance will determine how quickly it responds to friction.
Also, look up the dual angle layout system, as well as videos/information from Mo Pinel and Radical Bowling. The information is out there in many places. With modern weight blocks/cores, pin down most certainly does not mean earlier hook.
A couple of notes : That surface didn't look to be 2000 at all. More like 4000. Also the shot from the right part of the lane, had a lot more speed. So the claim that the ball had the same length from left and right, is not very honest.
@@chrisfentress13 Don''t be sarcastic, of course i "have heard" of it. You obviously don't know that a 1500+polish ball has a grit of 5000+. Same goes for 2000+polish. So it would make no difference to mention it, since the ball would have exactly the same reaction. The reason he mentions it is because they REMOVED the polish.
“Messenger 10”. That’s why he’s the best
He turned away before the pin exploded. Somewhat famous scene I see a lot on a certain movie's genre.
Perfect timing on the release for pt 2. Right after Francois Lavoie threw a 300 on tv with this ball.
I bet Rash loved that XD
And Belmonte uses shitty Urethane. SMH won't even use his own ball on television.
@@theghostlyone Urethane is one of the best types of balls to use on tour right now to the point players want it banned, definitely far from shitty

HOW ON EARTH.. DID HE KNOW!!!
Imagine being the owner of a regular bowling alley in some small town or something and all of a sudden Jason Belmonte walks in and starts filming
Ben lomond and spare time are the home lanes of most of the storm employees, that’s why they chose those two houses to film

My grandpa actually met Jason Belmonte at Ben Lomond lanes. We go bowling there all the time.
learned a lot here, thanks Jason for sharing, you're a true Champ!🐐

that messenger 10 though
Yeah. But doing that at Ben lomond is easy af, honestly. One of the easiest houses in Utah. But, him calling it, yeah that’s pretty impressive

Which coaches has Belmo had since he got on tour?
Its his storm tour reps jim callahan, tim mack, and del ballard jr
